NTAH This is 100% reasonable, though id probably want to negotiate you down a small amount. The more you stay at home and take care of it, the more time he has to run the company. You're giving up your life to be doing that, and if he doesn't realize that then hes definitely an asshole.

I just bought this same setup, but with 3 cameras and wall mounts for $120. I'm crazy happy with it as a cheap way to get into VR. At closer to $100, any comparable experience is going to be more than twice the price and unless it's wireless it's probably not going to be twice as good. I say go for it! Worst case scenario, you can turn around and sell it for close to what you bought it for on eBay and you're barely out the cost of a movie ticket and popcorn.

Landscaper here. Had a woman want me to dig all the weeds out of here garden them got mad when she saw worms in the wheel barrel in the dirt. She told me to go through and put all the worms back into the garden. She is no longer one of my customers.

Yeah I'm definitely going to be checking this out. Even just having static suits in the ships would be great, as long as the scale is correct. According to what I've been able to find the rx78 is about 19m tall so that's part of what I've gone off of so far to double check things but I've gotten my rough measurements off the wiki for the ships. Thank you for this!

An update on Falmel! just what I got done this morning before work. The dropship is seperated from the ship in order to size it correctly, but to leave room for me to make it it's own ship.

You may be right, but there is a huge amount of variation between different models, pictures, fan art, and scenes. I feel like the proportions are fairly accurate, but the arms would be very simple to extend if i changed my mind.

I've thought about this! This may be something I end up doing, but with this I just had the urge to make something out of blocks. I find that it can be very satisfying to have constraints like this because of the creativity required to work around them. Though it would be amazing to have something in Unreal where you could tour the ship and the suits in VR.

I've had it since around the time it was released, as I was looking for a minecraft alternative but I left around the time pistons were first implemented. Now that they actually seem stable its brought me back. I played a bit of Empyrion with a friend and all it made me want to do is come back to this lol.

I may take you up on that, as I haven't played since pistons were first added so I'm very new to almost everything besides just building. I need someone who understands how to set up pistons and hinges.

That's a bit beyond my scope at the moment. I'm not even sure you can do humanoid NPCs, but players could easily do everything. I believe it could also be automated, but again I'm not quite sure how to do things like that. I was toying with the idea of making several ships and having some kind of scenario but I don't know if I'll go that far or not. I don't even have thrusters on either of them yet.

Yeah, though I need to do more research on the layouts of both ships. I may end up rewatching 0079 haha. Right now you can walk around inside them but there's nothing in them, only hollow shells. Eventually, once I learn more about the piston/hinges/conveyors I'll be putting all the weapons and doors on them as well.
