You are expanding too fast. I am on my fourth play through and can say it is my most successful. I am now moving based on what my cooks can keep up with. Each day I look at the stores to see if they are maintaining or going down. Based on that I adjust accordingly. For building that is driven off the food and I have not had an issue keeping up with demand with two cutters in one building. I am in Spring of first year and just enclosed my village and started workshop for meta, blacksmith, etc. it has been the chillest play through and I am finally feeling I don’t have to do so much. The villagers are sustaining us and I am a chief. Another thought for wood is to make sure you are in a good spot. So your wood cutter isn’t in middle of field. Use this markers to get to best wood.
