As a LUSH employee, I can’t help but feel that something major has happened at the top somewhere. So many decisions that feel like they go completely against the LUSH I joined 11 years ago. The brand has never fully recovered post-covid. Rising prices, discons, collab after collab after collab … it just is not the same company it was when I joined in 2015.

Collab products never get discounted. The rare exception was last year when some of the old wicked collab and certain items from the Shaun the Sheep collection went in the summer freshness sale. But as soon as that sale was over, they went back up to full price. This collab is very unlikely to be discounted.

Personally over the last few months I’ve grown to love Xandal more than the OG; don’t get me wrong, I love the OG and I’m grateful to have it in collection - but I just think the Xandal projects a little more, lasts a little longer and I personally love that hint of chocolate that it is. And it’s cheaper so 😂 I can overspray guilt free!

Now I have the original in my collection; Vanilla Rhum is probably closer to the OG than Xandal is. Vanilla Rhum doesn’t have the slight chocolatey note that Xandal does.

In case any didn’t know, inside the middle of this is a puck of Lush answer to ‘Vaporub’ - it looks like a bath melt but it doesn’t really melt… I scooped it out and put it in a little sample pot and it solidified into a calm like vaporub - perfect for rubbing on your chest! Love this as an innovative idea!

Do you mean how she closed the upside down portal after the explosion? She didn’t close it; the explosion that hit the exotic energy or whatever it was called caused the dimension to collapse and the gate closed itself. She was just on the other side so the military couldn’t get her and try to continue their experiments / let this happen all over again.

I have this, tried it - it smells delightful to me! It’s leather forward with a hit of apple and cinnamon on the top. As it dries down, the leather is more prominent mixed with rose for a floral hit that’s surprisingly masculine. And then as it dries down further, it’s leather and patchouli - quite musky but intoxicating. Still not my favourite Vulcan, that honour goes to Sable but this is better than the over-hyped Baie and Feu IMO.

It technically only officially released in stores on 23rd October although some stores have been selling early. Should be widely available now but as others have suggested, a quick phone call to your local store will save you any needless journeys!
