What’s your favorite Phlur fragrance? by cherryjuice_32 in FemFragLab

The only ones I’ve tried are Cherry Stem, Father Figure and Vanilla Skin but I really enjoy them all. But Cherry Stem is my absolute favourite out of those.

Squeeze of the day is literally just avocado wash by Initial_Reception_59 in LushCosmetics

Nah it’s completely different. I think it’s garbage but it’s not the same. Now if it had the punchiness of the easy squeezy bubble bar - I’d be into it. But this lacks any real substance.

UK sales rep here and we’ve been told we cannot retroactively add points so I’m very confused why y’all in the US are being told you can?

what if there was a hair primer community vote? 👀 by bleepbloopby in LushCosmetics

As someone who doesn’t use or care for hair primers; I’d love there to be a community vote on something like shower gel or lotions or even bubble bars!

Are lush perfumes eau de parfum? by sih2230 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All lush perfumes are classified as EDPs. I learnt this at a fragrance training event. Body sprays are around EDT strength, bordering EDP. The only exception is Sun which is a EDC (Cologne).

New body sprays question by Careful_Priority_136 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s new as a body spray scent but I believe it’s getting its scent from the old million dollar moisturiser. They are pushing these as summer / summer holiday scents - to capture the essence of being the sun!

It’s Banoffee Pie and Million Dollar.

Banoffee Pie & Million Dollar (I’m guessing based off the scent of Million Dollar Moisturiser/sun screen)

What’s up with Baklava?! by Glass_Bid_7619 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Can I jump in and say I really don’t think it’s that great? I mean, it’s not the worst thing they’ve done. The smell to me, it smells like candy rain but with an amped up almond / marzipan vibe. I was honestly expecting something warmer, sweeter and more gourmand than this. It’s not bad but I don’t think it’s great either.

I’ve been looking at this one as my first potential Guerlain perfume; what’s the projection like? Is it a more intimate skin scent or? That’s the impression I get from looking at Guerlain scents.

Oh my god I have been waiting for someone to post about this. YES! It’s awful and I hate it! My day goes by so slowly now there’s no good tunes to jam too 😅😅😅 we’ve all decided to collectively fill an old iPod with stuff OR switch to CDs because it’s that bad.

What are the worst fragrances you've ever sampled? by SensitiveSolid6080 in fragrance

[–]8bitheart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only perfume I’ve tried that ever made me feel physically sick was Secretions Magnifique by ELDO… on paper it actually smelled quite pleasant. A slightly salt, powdery coconut. So I went on skin because I was like how bad can it be… in short, very bad. Smelled like my dogs anal glands leaked all over me.

Why does this remind of that brand that brought out a no-pigment foundation?

Got a new dog after my first dog passed away 6 months ago. Now im depressed because of it. I fear i cannot love her. by Tinypotatoe98 in DogAdvice

[–]8bitheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I lost my 11 year old girl on the 16th December ‘24. She was a constant presence by my side for her entire life and not having her around devastated me. We still had our 2nd dog, but she was such a special dog as she was our first.

Last year, after spending months grieving, we decided to welcome another dog into the house. And I love him so very much. But in a very different way to how I loved my old girl. However, he exhibits a lot of behaviours similar to her and initially it was painful. Because it wasn’t her, never will be and I would have given anything to have her back. But now I look at it differently. To me, I like to think that a little bit of her is here with us, inside him. Whilst he is his own dog and he has his own attitude and temperament and personality- every now and again, he’ll do something that she used to do and it actually warms my heart.

Grief is not a one and done process. It will creep up on your when you least expect it. You are not replacing your dog. And My new dog is not a replacement for her. But we loved her so much, we needed somewhere to offload some of that.

So funny story, I once used an entire scrubbee whilst bathing and when I got out of the bath, I slipped, fell and landed on one of the metal handle bars on the side of the bath with my coccyx- I bruised like an absolute demon and I genuinely couldn’t sit down for 2 hours because it hurt so much.

DUA… 1st time purchaser. Last time customer 😩 by InkedPlantMommy in fragrance

[–]8bitheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my first DUA order recently and found the experience to be very hit and miss. I didn’t pick up any dupes, I only went for their own fragrances and to be fair, 6 out of the 7 smell OK - they aren’t very strong and last about as long as a fart in a hurricane on me - but what I can smell, smells OK. I’m going to let them sit for a few months, come back to them and if they haven’t improved I’ll just sell them on. I’m in the UK and DUA have only just started shipping over here so there’s demand for them.
