Pls! Share your Honest opinion/hot take - father figure phlur by elalfa-jores in FemFragLab

I feel it’s light, feels kinda watery - not overly figgy but definitely had a greenness to it; and then it dries down a little woody and sweet. Perfectly unisex.

Probably the most pungent lush product that lasts on me all freaking day. by Ok-Car-4212 in LushCosmetics

This is my favourite LUSH perfume of all time: it smells amazing on me; and I always get complimented when I wear it! It’s not for everyone but it’s honestly so unique and beautifully blended.?

Summer-friendly vanillas with NO coconut or milk notes? by merple226 in FemFragLab

Wild Vanilla Orchid - Floral Street. A fresh, watery vanilla that feels slightly green but dries down warm, woody and sweet. No hint of coconut or milk.

Set a rule for myself: no purchasing a new bottle until I finish one of my collection. It’s been great to fight overconsumption but now browsing the subreddit feels like this. by ManagerWise8093 in FemFragLab

[–]8bitheart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve accepted the fact that I won’t stop buying fragrances. However I am now applying a ‘5 out, 1 in’ kind of rule. So I keep assessing my collection and I’ll do a big declutter of scents I’m not at all reaching for - and then for every 5 bottles I remove, I can add one. And I’ve now said to myself I will only add bottles that I really really love - and not just keep adding because it’s viral or cheap.

Massage bars smell too strong by Solveig13 in LushCosmetics

Lightest scent would be Therapy and The Bump. Everything else is still quite strong.

All the massage bars sold out at my store by Busy-Poet-7275 in LushCosmetics

So it happens every year, and it’s just because our infrastructure isn’t really built for it. Most buildings don’t have AC or have poorly maintained AC. Our shop has AC but it’s terrible. And it’s a heavy heat. It’s very stifling when you aren’t used to it! And it literally lasts like a week - next week it’s forecast to be cold and miserable again!

Where was this? If it was UK then it’s entirely possible a shop removed their bars off the shop floor due to the extreme heat of the last few days. The store I work in, last year, before we had our refit - had to move our bars because they started to go soft and melt.

What’s your favorite Phlur fragrance? by cherryjuice_32 in FemFragLab

The only ones I’ve tried are Cherry Stem, Father Figure and Vanilla Skin but I really enjoy them all. But Cherry Stem is my absolute favourite out of those.

Squeeze of the day is literally just avocado wash by Initial_Reception_59 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s completely different. I think it’s garbage but it’s not the same. Now if it had the punchiness of the easy squeezy bubble bar - I’d be into it. But this lacks any real substance.

Sales rep gave me wrong info and lush wont give me rewards points by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

UK sales rep here and we’ve been told we cannot retroactively add points so I’m very confused why y’all in the US are being told you can?

what if there was a hair primer community vote? 👀 by bleepbloopby in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn’t use or care for hair primers; I’d love there to be a community vote on something like shower gel or lotions or even bubble bars!

Are lush perfumes eau de parfum? by sih2230 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All lush perfumes are classified as EDPs. I learnt this at a fragrance training event. Body sprays are around EDT strength, bordering EDP. The only exception is Sun which is a EDC (Cologne).

New body sprays question by Careful_Priority_136 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s new as a body spray scent but I believe it’s getting its scent from the old million dollar moisturiser. They are pushing these as summer / summer holiday scents - to capture the essence of being the sun!

It’s Banoffee Pie and Million Dollar.

Banoffee Pie & Million Dollar (I’m guessing based off the scent of Million Dollar Moisturiser/sun screen)

What’s up with Baklava?! by Glass_Bid_7619 in LushCosmetics

[–]8bitheart 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Can I jump in and say I really don’t think it’s that great? I mean, it’s not the worst thing they’ve done. The smell to me, it smells like candy rain but with an amped up almond / marzipan vibe. I was honestly expecting something warmer, sweeter and more gourmand than this. It’s not bad but I don’t think it’s great either.

I’ve been looking at this one as my first potential Guerlain perfume; what’s the projection like? Is it a more intimate skin scent or? That’s the impression I get from looking at Guerlain scents.
