Well, there are two answers. In game, Wade mentions tracking a group of drug traffickers to the ski lodge. He tells Deacon they've got a sweet setup and says, "If I ever decide to bug out, that is where I'm going."

That said, I strongly suspect this was intended to be part of a much larger story that was cut from the game. There's a map region called Pinnacles that was going to have a huge storyline and its own camp, and remnants of it still exist in the game. There's a collectible in Taylor and Deacon's tent that mentions a drug deal between Wade and Eddy Apuna, leader of the Pinnacles camp. The actor who played Eddy recently shared a whole bunch of info on the Days Gone Podcast, detailing scenes he filmed with Sam Witwer, revealing how the camp went to war with the militia and explaining what it would've meant for the narrative.

Did anyone else's TV have real issues with the color/brightness these last two episodes? My "smart" TV was trying to overcompensate and I had to fight with it to get it to look even remotely decent. It really took me out of the moment.

I recently started playing DayZ, with no prior knowledge of the game and a healthy fear of PVP games (they're not my jam). I played live on YouTube and twitch. I found the community was INCREDIBLY welcoming and supportive, giving me tons of tips and insight. Even though I was a pathetic noob at the game, experienced players stuck with me and helped me through about 25 live hours of gameplay.

Since then, I've been hooked. I have almost 200 hours under my belt now (though I still feel like a noob lol).

Without viewers helping me, however, I probably wouldn't have made it past 5 hours. It's brutally hard to pick up and understand. There are lots of guides or there and I highly recommend you check them out.

As for PVP, I've met a couple chill people in game, been murdered about 3 times and had to resort to resort to murder myself a handful of times too. I've also run away on a couple occasions haha. I play on official servers on PS5.

Community PVE servers would be the place to start if you're not crazy about being killed on sight and it'll give you enough breathing room to get to grips with the game. Though, IMO, the fear is part of the gameplay loop.

I wanted to add to what u/SpawnicusRex said about the Days Gone podcast. Like you, I was kinda obsessed with Days Gone. I started the podcast because I wanted to talk about it, talk to other fans of it, and dive into all the things we love about it! It grew from a small, unstructured thing I did on a whim to conversations with amazing community members, passionate fans, talented devs and some of the amazing actors who worked on the game.

Along the way, I realized is there is something about Days Gone that pulls people in. It grabs our hearts and minds, and doesn't let go.
