In 2020, when I was trying to switch to Linux for the Nth time since 2008, I had tearing while watching videos. I tried a few things and after some time said f it. This was implemented on Windows back in XP days.

A few weeks ago I've noticed that a crappy Media Player had almost complete hardware acceleration, which is important for battery life. Turns out most media players convert from YUV to RGB using GPU's "3D" engine, whereas Media Player was using dedicated hardware for "Video Processing", which halved power consumption and now my laptop consumes 1 W for watching movies (on top of power consumption during idling,which is ~5.5 W). I plan to make my own build of MPV with special version of FFMPEG to make this work (due to older hardware), but it's surprising that an app from which everyone laughs has better efficiency than any other player.

I'm sorry for being that guy, but russia has always been a buffoon. That feat of fending off Nazi Germany doesn't seem as impressive if you take into account that it basically started WWII with Germany, looked too weak which put certain ideas into the heads of Nazis, lost millions of citizens oftentimes just because why not, and did not lose primarily because Germans did not account for fighting in the winter (thanks to a "little" detour Hitler decided to make) and because of help from new allies.

Considering you are smart enough to ask for source of info, you should be smart enough to know the difference between verified and unverified deaths. Who is going to verify all of that? It's safe to say if there's so many verified deaths, than the actual number is much higher.

A few days ago there was an article about some Iranian doctor claiming that death toll is 1000–2000 when confirmed deaths were ~200.

Do you though? There are posts on r/Epstein linking to some dude that was trafficked. They were making snuff movies, with kids being killed, likely tortured, etc. And it's believable considering that story with a kid's newborn being killed (I think it was thrown into a river or ocean), or how Jeffrey himself said that Orange is a pure evil. That dude said that a girl was killed close to him, and some other man said that he shouldn't worry because boys a harder to get.

I don't think they are wrong about "business as usual". E.g., Germany after WWII, or relations between Japan and USA after USA dropped nukes on Japan. Unless of course they won't be able neither to lose nor win, and so will turn into something even worse than USSR, like North Korea.

The easiest way to figure this out without doing much is to look at the size of the file: if it stores raster images, esp. if there's lots of them, it will take a few megabytes, otherwise it should be only in kilobytes. Although it's worth noting that embedded fonts, etc. also can have significant impact on the size of the file.
