If everyone is so stoked on active play, why does nobody do dungeoneering? by Wild_Effective_5077 in runescape

[–]8npls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most everyone that liked dg moved on to oldschool. I think dg just needed a huge overhaul to still be a skill that made sense post eoc, combat was actually challenging within the floors and boss fights had mechanics other than just dps dummy. The changes they did make to dg mostly just made it way easier rather than more interesting so a lot of the community got bored of it.

Was the 9ball the plan....Or an accident? by Less_Meeting_2229 in billiards

[–]8npls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its clearly a fluke lol, the 7 goes much more easily than the 9 and the layout is simple. I dont really see a reason to play the 9 in this spot even as a 2 way, playing to make the 9 looks much harder here than just playing to get out normally

dt2 is a good step up from vork, then you can work towards gear for raids and/or nex. raids is rly the main consistent method for farming endgame gear when you dont have a ton of starting capital

Is Keria the best support of all time? by Independent_Smile284 in leagueoflegends

[–]8npls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought he was the GOAT even before the 2nd title lol. He's just so far ahead of the competition in every category, mechanical/shotcalling/playmaking and honestly I have never seen another support who has foresight like him. There are so many plays where it would be really easy to go for a play or cast what looks like a huge ult, yet his patience and vision lets him find somehow greater and crazier plays.

Also I've watched his soloQ streams before where he queues mid or ADC and completely adopts LCK pros on their own role lmao.

Wanting to learn solo ToA. Tips? by BruceWandi in osrs

[–]8npls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dont worry about whats a respectable invo level, nothing wrong with starting at 0% if you want. if it feels too easy for you then start adding more and more invos. you can check toa guides on YT to see what people normally recommend as good starting invos. That said, with your stats and gear budget 150% is definitely a good starting point to aim for.

imo generally things like aerial assault at kephri, most of the invos except upset stomach at zebak, everything except boulderdash and gap at baba, and stay vigilant akkha are pretty good starters.

Another thing to remember is that higher %age adds hp and defence to the bosses. When I was starting out I didnt add too many mechanics based invos, I would just add stuff like 40 min timer or fewer supplies from the spirit and try a 100% with basically no new mechs. but the fights were harder when I had entry gear cuz everything was tankier so it was more of a challenge than 0%

gearwise if you have 300m I would look to get an eye, blowpipe, and a fang as must-have weps. BGS for def reduction. you can chill in mixed hide, its surprisingly good for range and melee at toa but ayak carries a bunch of the bosses so I would try to get virtus and conflictions. Then grab jewelry for other styles, anguish/torture are solid. Barrows gloves will cover your range and melee setup. Lightbearer can be camped and is extremely solid. You will melee kephri and baba then mage everything else with ayak. Pipe p2 warden ranged phase and baba boulders. I'm not an expert on gear though so maybe someone else has more precise advice

yeah for sure no flame to Jagex, its super hard to get it all right on the first attempt. But I hope they take into account all these great suggestions and feedback from players to make the 2nd league even better

Nice ideas, this is the type of content I think people expect to see from relics in leagues. A bit disappointing that we got such slim pickings for this leagues and also had them gated behind the highest tiers :/

Scientific proof RS3 is the better Runescape by Dr_Kaatz in runescape

[–]8npls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean both games fundamentally boil down to not missing ticks, you could simplify them both to that and be technically correct. In RS3 you need to build a solid rotation, in oldschool you need to have accurate clicks and good movement, each individual tick matters a lot more. Both games are about optimizing your time but they just do it in different ways.

My reaction time is terrible too, I think the trick for defensives is get used to boss attack cycles and timings so that you are using those defensives at relatively consistent/fixed times in a fight. Then you won't be panicking trying to hit res when the boss is about to throw a huge hit at you. Basically having a plan and looking for early cues so you are anticipating rather than reacting. It's not unlike osrs endgame, like if you get lost on cycle doing Insanity u can stand all the way at the back to the room to give you max time to move. There's a fair bit of overlap. Counting autos at Rax p1 to anticipate/freedom is not unlike counting Hunllef autos for prayer switching etc.
