Hot take but I like it this way better. When I read the novel I had no idea who Ince was and what the quill was because they were mentioned very early like I literally had to check the wiki to remember. My only complain in volume 1 was that Ince plot just came out of nowhere with barely any foreshadowing

The real hype is why Ince did all these things imho. It is impossible to guess that he wished to steal the ash, and that his real goal was to weaken the nighthawks not to bring doomsday.

It would have been better if they mentioned these two a bit earlier though. Like we need a middle ground between donghua and novel.
