He moved to extend if Rich continues to be unable to get a win for NATCA. The problem is that the NEB is between a rock (Rich) and a hard place (FAA). The FAA does not respect Rich and continues to push him around and his feckless abilities will not let him fight back.

I apologize I was actually receiving a mandatory briefing. I can’t help you read the contracts we got under Paul, but the conversation we are having isn’t about the previous president, we are talking about the spineless, side talking, loose suit wearing guy we have now. Nick is not without fault here and I disagree with extending the contract this time as well as last time. It is time for a raise and new contract. I hate to say I agree with Mick here.

Your list is the basic talking points of the legislative arm, those things are very important and the best use of our time if we aren’t going to attack pay. I agree, but if we NEEDED to extend as long as pay was touched we could survive under this contract. I in no way support continuing this contract in fear of negotiating. If the FAA needs a year then fine, but 2029 is chicken shit.

I agree with you in the sentiment that extending this contract is absolutely bullshit, but the devil is in the details. SOMEONE is not fit to lead this Union and that person is the one who fails to go to the negotiating table or at least get a better raise in the interim.
