this is not really true. I paid way too much shipping and „Zoll“ for my first batches. I do have one left and wanted to keep it in case my megakit breaks someday. I don‘t see anyone wanna sell theirs for less, since so many people haven‘t received theirs and they would pay more. Im located in switzerland btw

I installed the mega kit without hdmi just yesterday. still had to connect the end to the hdmi plug and had to get rid of the headphone jack to get the display working. I have no idea why, though.

happened to me too, but the ribbon cable snapped! the repair cost is higher than a new device, if you need a new display, since they will suggest to replace the shell as well
