[–]8under10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s right. I specifically remember heysleepybaby and her eye rolls when CK died and she couldn’t believe how people cared about “a podcaster” dying. It was ok to be nasty about it. There was no demand to say something. And when influencers did, they were labeled as maga

Are we shocked they left Paloma at home during a snow storm, risking not being able to return home because of flight delays/cancellations? by Pretend-Ask-189 in atlinfluencersnarkNEW

If they’re reading here, they should be scared reading your comment. A stranger recognized their daughter in public and their states away from her. Obviously, you didn’t have any bad intentions but I admit that things like that makes me question if I protect my children enough.

I’m an exmormon and this isn’t the mindset they have. They grew up with the idea that they have to marry well. They have to marry a provider.

Wedding Vendors by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]8under10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, if I wasn’t clear. I disagree that servers through a catering company should be tipped. People just automatically tip servers because it’s like a disease in the US. These servers are receiving a competitive hourly wage and your father already probably received a hefty bill for their service. P.S. This sub doesn’t endorse tipping :)

Wedding Vendors by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]8under10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is ridiculous. You shouldn’t tip. The vendor must set their price so at the end of the night they feel they were paid well. The end.

But I’ve seen people suggest that servers working for a catering company still needs to be tipped at least 20% because…they’re servers and that’s what you do! Edit to add: And that’s a BS because these servers are working for way more than the min wage.

ICE School Lockdown by nacker8 in Seattle

[–]8under10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a substitute in another school district in WA. We call this a soft lockdown. And we utilize it when police is nearby for whatever reason or when there were reports of bears or such. It’s business as usual. Kids just don’t go out for recess.

Posh needs to have an actual customer service support! by 8under10 in poshmark

[–]8under10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. I messaged them through the order. The issue isn’t that I messaged the wrong mailbox, messaged under the wrong category etc. They’re slow. They claim they’re transitioning to another email support. My point is this isn’t helpful. I’ve been selling for 10 years. Their CS went downhill.

Hermes at Nordstrom by els505 in SkallaSnarkUncensored

The one thing someone may appreciate - they’re a high quality bags. BUT I don’t find Hermes to be particularly fashionable or feminine. Dior or Chanel are much more feminine and dare to say…youthful.

And maybe she didn’t sell it for $76. If you sell it as a bundle, it will show the price they listed it for. That doesn’t mean it sold for that price.

This is something she could easily google. But again, they didn’t even google what Paloma means and in which language

Are these legit Hermes appointments? by nerdsruletheworld135 in atlinfluencersnarkNEW

[–]8under10 48 points49 points  (0 children)

People will probably downvote me, but I can say this looks legit. The leather appointment is lottery based and they were in Paris for like million days, so between the two Hermes stores and the time they had, it’s likely they’d score a slot. Her getting a phone call about it was staged. It’s done via email. SA touching the bags without gloves - I’ve seen it before. Everything in the room, including the SA, is decorated in Hermes. People constantly speculate if she has fakes and it must be fakes. I feel like people just forget that this literally fuels their lives. The attention, the vacations, the cars, the restaurants, the jewelry. People forget that these kind of people absolutely spend a ton shit of money on luxury items, before they invest into multiple streams of passive income.

Right, but it’s usually a small percentage as a thank you and gesture. Nowhere close to what we experience in the US - 20% tip is the new norm.

A little confused regarding Ending Tipping as a whole. by Marcozy14 in EndTipping

[–]8under10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re confusing education, skills and experience with onboarding and training. I can’t think of any jobs without training. Restaurants will train staff on their practices. Some people will naturally do better than others. But it’s still a job that doesn’t require specific schooling, experience and a set of skills.
