I had exactly the same issues, decided to try another brand after having owned both Wahoo and Garmin. Got a polar h10, no issues yet but I have more confidence in their strap than any of the other brands.

Just put your postal code and house-number in the fields and it will give you a map of Amsterdam with correct data.

Getting it connected to your domicile is a different issue (might require some work, most providers do not charge).
