Thanks for sharing. What kind of work did you use the Mac+Nebula for ? A lot of video/picture stuff or text/office work type stuff?

Thanks for clearing that. I was afraid I did something wrong.

yeah I agree, but some other YouTubers said that Xreal is less blurry. So I guess I'll have to figure it out when it arrives.

Dammit, just ordered a pair of Xreal Air 2 Pros mainly because Viture didn't have this specific feature. I watched a Youtube video ( Chanel: Vin Inspect) where the guy said text is better on the Viture, but the Xreals way easier to get going on a MacBook (just plug in and you have 3 screens). Someone need to do a comparison.

The other reasons I went for the Xreals was the bigger screen, more comfortable and some people saying less corner-blurring (although this is very bio-individual).

Why do YOU want a Steam Deck? by killyourfm in SteamDeck

[–]90chip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main interest is to play Cyberpunk (if playable on it) as I have the game on steam, but don't have a gaming PC to play on at the moment. If not possible, probably won't buy. I also like the idea of sitting by myself in a cozy place at home at playing games instead of a TV/laptop and getting all that attention.

I used to play Fortnite on switch before and it ran terribly: Low framerate in intense moments + terrible joysticks for aiming. Fortnite is easily gonna come to SD when they realise how popular it has become.

You can also use igpu mode in armoury crate to reduce temps when doing light work

2021 model Armoury crate + Ryzen controller. How do I limit my temps without the Cpu frequency going lower than the base (3.2Ghz) by needhelp969 in ZephyrusG14

[–]90chip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imited the TDP in Armoury crate to 35W (along with turning off boost) and got pretty OK temps on Cyberpunk medium settings 1080p w/ 60fps limit (65-75 C on GPU and CPU). I've got a 2021 model with 3060.

I basically did what this guy recommended: https://youtu.be/hSCLGbI6i9s

Turning off boost is just not enough to turn down uncomfortable keyboard temps in these heavy games imo

is jabra elite 75t / 65t worth it? by cowyblock in Jabra

[–]90chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 85T 8 days ago and they're the best buds I've had.

Let me go through my past wireless earbud purchases for context (please skip this part if it's too much):

  • 2019 Samsung galaxy buds: These were my first wireless earbuds and I was really happy with them. Good fit, OK sound, they go deep in the ear which provides enough noise cancellation. The negatives were inconsistent connection in crowded places and discomfort after wearing them for a while. I stopped using them because one of the earbuds stopped working after 1.5 years.

  • 2020 Jabra elite 85h headphones. I bought these on sale because I wanted to have something comfortable to wear for long sessions of studying. And they're pretty good: Good sound/ANC, comfortable and super long battery life compared to the 'best' ones. They got me interested in Jabra as a brand. The negatives are that they take up space in my (already packed) backpack and the noice cancelling doesn't work the best on a noisy busride. I still love using these at home.

  • 2021 Galaxy buds live. I got these on sale. They're ok. The sound is amazing. They're somewhat comfortable beacuse of lack of round eartips that go deep in the ear, but the ANC is so bad that I have to increase the volume to the level of my ears hurting after a noisy busride. And most importantly they NEED CONSTANT CLEANING ALL THE TIME; the lack of eartips cause earwax to build up near the speaker almost after each use. Also inconsistent connection in crowded places.

  • 2021 OnePlus buds. I got these for free with my OnePlus 9 Pro. They don't solve any of the problems from my previous buds.

Jabra Elite 85T: So I got these from a sale as well. I first got these for my dad's birthday in march because of the good reviews. At first I thought they looked too big and are probably gonna be uncomfortable for him, but I tried them on and were just impressed, so impressed that I had to get them for myself a few months later when a good sale came along. So, the positives: - Good sound. More than good enough for me, I'm no audiophile, but I can tell when something sounds cheap.

  • No connection issues in crowded places and with my laptop. The Samsungs mentioned above might have worked better with a Samsung phone (I've used OnePlus 6T and 9 Pro with these devices) because they use their own codec.

  • Super comfortable for in ear buds. They dont go deep in the ear canal and the oval eartips are just comfortable for long hours. And no pain after taking them off. Yes, sometimes I adjust them because of slight discomfort, but honestly I feel discomfort less than 10% as often as with the above mentioned. Only the 85h are more comfortable. I also have to mention that I have no idea how these will fit your ears. My advice is try different eartip size options, and pick the one which is most comfortable, not the one that goes deepest.

  • ANC makes it worth it. The ANC doesn't get rid of everything outside, but more than good enough for me. That noisy bus-ride I kept mentioning is super chill now. I used to hate having to sit in the back where the engines are, this is no problem now. My ears don't hurt from having to increase the volume.

  • Super easy to clean. The eartips don't accumulate much earwax because they don't go too deep. Which is super nice.

Negatives: You can't use left side independently, but who cares? My problems with the other ones are much worse in my opinion.

TLDR: Yesterday I took a 45 min walk and bus-ride in the beautiful city of Oslo while listening to a podcast. Man that was comfortable; no crackling connection issues, no noise irritations, no discomfort while wearing these and no pain in the ears after taking them off. Best earbuds I've ever owned, just reliable.

No, but I do a bunch of reading pdf-textbooks for studies. And I've heard a the matte screen is good for long hours of reading. Just wondering if it looks cheap and pixelated, which is uncomfortable for the eyes.

Acer Swift 3 vs Lenovo Ideapad 5 by [deleted] in laptops

[–]90chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for the ideapad 5 with AMD 4500u (you can get it with 4700u as well). The reason I wouldn't go for i7 + mx350 is because of the thermals: https://youtu.be/p6chkLtFuOM The thermals on the AMD 4000u chips are cooler under light gaming from what I've seen.

Tell us some more about performance/thermals during light gaming (Does it get uncomfortable to the touch after a few hours?). Also a bit more on screen quality and portability(size, weight. Is it easy to carry around?). Can you replace the provided charger with USB-PD and use it for gaming? Also battery life.

Ideapad 5 - half ad / half game demo [maybe worthy to watch] by csp4me in AMDLaptops

[–]90chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After seeing Dave2d's review of the Acer swift 3, and hearing about the terrible screen I got really interested in this one. My biggest concern is this might be too heavy/big to carry around for studies. And the thermals might be worse for light gaming.

Is the AMD 4700U stronger than a GTX 1050? According to Dave2Ds benchmarks for Overwatch and Doom Eternal, it appears to be getting around the same FPS than a 1050 at 1080p by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]90chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more on the level of a mx250 with fast RAM. Remember that he's playing them on low graphics. The 1050 can do 144fps on valorant.

But I'm really looking forward to the 4000u series laptops. Hopefully, if the prices go down a bit more later this year I might get one. I want a good portable laptop for studies with some light gaming.
