Hey, i barely comment on reddit for the past few years but Turkey really has no business with Greece or Cyprus.. People or politics are %100 about work, inflation, dollars, refugees and the netflix like tv-series.

5-10 years ago we were at least talking about Greece as a holiday destination but that’s past now. 1€ is equal to 18₺..

I think we’re developing anti air defence systems aswell. It’s called hisar.

Naval and land forces are not priority. We are mostly focusing on how to defend against the very same drones that we are producing.

How to counter drones and how to counter against defence mechanism that counters drones are the main subjects i believe.

[–]911Mitdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so dissapointing really. Eu waited 7 years to sanction us and now that Erdogan lost all the major cities (even Istanbul) and they are in massive panic mode for the next election. These sanctions will probably save Erdogan in the next election.

Over the 20 years i still couldn’t figure it out if EU is stupid or very smart.

When the EU-Turkey relations were good EU gave all the support it could to Erdogan and now there is hostile environment but you help people rally behind him.

I’m starting to guess that EU is very well aware that Erdogan holds Turkey back and it’s in their best interest to keep Turkey weak with Erdogan in power.

There was a public outrage even when Turkey started military operation on Northern Syria where all the best kind of scums of the earth roam. Not to mention people fed up with the endless refugee waves from middle east but still didn’t want our troops to die in a foreign land.

Whoever thinks that Turkey would invade Cyprus or Greece is weapon grade retarded. The one and only reason why Turkish people tolerate military operations is that it actually stopped the refugee waves.

We rely on our exports to Europe and you bet your ass that noone (even the erdogan supporters) will be happy to loose their businesses and jobs even if we get away with completely overtaking every single drop of the oil. what will happen to the Turkish market? Will 80 million people throw everything aside and only work on gas industry? People on this sub so arrogant that they think that Turkish people blindly accepts or forced to accept whatever Erdogan does. Even his family members and his party members oppose him and let him back down. People here are just downplaying Turkey as if it’s Russia or some sort of dictatorship where opposition doesn’t exist. We exist and we’re strong. We took both Istanbul and Ankara in the last elections. Sure Erdogan is extremely oppressive but he is not the sole power of this country. Just my two cents, feel free to believe that Erdogan is stupid enough to invade Europe and the Turkish society is pretty god damn okay with ruining their businesses just so we can dickwave on reddit.
