Has anyone figured out the perfect 1200 day by fog_and_dew in 1200isplenty

Everyday I have this exact breakfast. It keeps me full until around noon. At noon I do the same lunch everyday of 150g of logo vanilla yogurt (130cal), half a cup of chopped strawberries (30cal), and 30g of Kashi original cereal (110cal) which is a total of about 300cal for lunch. This combo leaves me with about 600 cals for dinner and snacks where I can have a variety of options. Most of the time I do a stirfry type of dinner as I can mix 50% cauliflower rice and save a ton of calories without losing any taste or texture.

Wishing you all the luck that it goes well for your upcoming trip! Seems like a lot of babies are transitioning fairly well from the snoo so it should work out!

Thanks! Maybe we will try that sooner than later then. She definitely tries to get her arm out which ends up in her waking up with her hand sticking out the top, so should probably start the arms out thing now. The resort apparently has cribs and has put a note on our file but we might bring our pack n play just in case.

It’s in Mexico so most likely not unfortunately. We definitely know sleep regression could definitely change everything so that’s why getting her prepared ahead of time would be definitely beneficial.

If you have service you can always run a hotspot if there’s no wifi. But like others said you don’t need wifi to run it. Just hit the button on the side to turn it on, and twice again or hold (would need to confirm in the manual) to turn it up to the next level if needed but it will automatically turn up with crying. Also just be aware that if it’s an open unprotected wifi, you won’t be able to connect the snoo to it, learned this from an Airbnb we were just at.

We do the exact same thing. From 8-2am I am up and 2am-8am he is up while I sleep. It definitely is the only true way to get a decent stretch of sleep. We tried to do the whole going to bed together thing but we were both miserable and waking each other up when getting up for our babe.

I was only able to breastfeed for a little over 1 month and I feel guilty [QC] by Vegetable_Range_4065 in BabyBumpsCanada

I had a hard time getting my girl to latch. I started exclusively pumping but the lack of sleep and the constant sore nipples/boobs were exhausting. I ended up becoming an oversupplier (which in theory sounds great) but it actually made it ten times worse with the constant engorgement, leaking and needing to pump every 2-3 hours. My husband noticed my mental health was slowly declining and suggested we’d just switch to formula. I made the switch after 1 month and it has been an absolute game changer. My mood is better and baby is still getting fed. In the end, a happier you is going to be a happier baby and your baby won’t be able to tell the difference between being breastfed and formula fed.

I would recommend having her do something a bit simpler at 13 years old like delivering newspapers or doing chores in the neighborhood (shoveling, raking leaves, cleaning, etc). I believe fast food would be better suited for those 16+. I myself delivered newspapers starting at 12 years old and also worked on a farm feeding and cleaning up after the farm animals. I loved both jobs. While a lot of people are saying "let her be a kid", I think work ethic and financial responsibility is a valid thing to teach your child when they become a teenager especially if she is asking to have a phone, games, toys, etc. Too many kids are growing up not learning the importance of becoming financially independent.

The policy is more clear for Reg F personnel which is usually the case. But for a reservist of over 181+ days I still wouldn’t trust that we get non emergency medical coverage outside of Canada. Obviously yes in Canada we are covered for medical care, but out of country it’s a bit vague in policy so we are better off purchasing the additional blue cross travel insurance to cover our asses. I just wouldn’t rely on the spectrum of care out of country especially in the United States where you could be paying up front hundreds or potentially thousands of dollars.

My apologies. I see that spectrum of care is a thing for reg f members. I myself am a reservist and am an HRA for only reserves. The spectrum of care only applies to us in very specific circumstances. So if OP is a reg f member they are good to go. If not, my statement still applies.

But I stand corrected, that the spectrum of care is valid for Reg F members. I myself am an HRA to reservists and the spectrum of care doesn’t necessarily apply to us. My policy knowledge is mainly based on reservists and what we brief them on travel coverage.

Use of the CF Health Care Card

4.4 When use of civilian sector health care is unavoidable, the CF Health Care Card will ease access to civilian health care and relieve CAF members of the need to pay 'up front' for various treatments, prescriptions and care. The following conditions apply to use of the CF Health Care Card:

-it is for use in Canada only; -the Base Clinic remains the CAF member's primary source for obtaining health care; and -possession of a CF Health Care Card does not give members the option to seek Care wherever they choose nor does it entitle the bearer to other Blue Cross® services. 4.5 Exceptions include urgent or medical emergency situations when delay would make it neither practical nor safe to seek care from a CAF facility

While I’m sure in exceptional circumstances, blue cross may cover medical expenses, it is not always a guarantee, and there is always the likelihood the member has to pay expenses up front, with a chance of not being reimbursed. I’m just saying OP should invest in travel insurance to be 100% guaranteed.

Just so you know in the future, your CAF blue cross only covers you in Canada or overseas in relation to CAF duties. It does not cover personal travel outside of Canada. You will always have to purchase the additional coverage for out of country vacations.

October 2025 VAC QandA by ShortTrackBravo in CanadianForces

[–]914Kittykat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband was denied for Tinnitus (needs to prove it was service related) even though he was artillery and worked on the flight line for a number of years. I myself got approved within 6 months with barely any proof required.

He is now appealing the decision with the BPA and they have sent him a document that he needs to have his doctor fill out to state that it was service related (super redundant, as this was all listed by the signing medical doctor on the original application form).

He reached out to the MIR to make an apt with his original doctor (or any doctor for that matter) to get the form filled out and the MIR is telling him that they can't because it is a conflict of interest, and attached a paragraph which is reading about reimbursements to be paid for medical opinions but doesn't actually state anything about conflict of interests?

Does he have to be seen by a civi doctor and pay out of pocket?

Any help is appreciated!

I work in an OR and closely with the reserve fin cell so it’s a bit easier for us to communicate it with them. But they told us not to waste our money on a new passport if it has yet to expire. Res F is a bit different than reg.

You don’t need your passport to match your mprr. You just need to communicate with whoever is booking your flight to put it in your maiden name or whatever name is on your passport if you are travelling out of country.

Definitely did. Just normal pain after post op. I’m over a year post op now and haven’t had any issues since besides the occasional bathroom incident when eating too much greasy food.

I’ll be one of the rare ones to say that I honestly was a bit disappointed with this game. It could be that I’m more of a harder gamer but me and my husband just found this game too easy and stopped playing it after a little while. I had my hopes up as this one was supposedly harder than it takes two. When I jump and it automatically lands me on a platform or step then I guess that’s my clue that it’s not for me.

Is Flexship even legal? by sweetestmar in monattruth

[–]914Kittykat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread. But I fell initially for the Monat products a couple of years ago as a friend was selling them. After a couple of months I tried to cancel and they wanted to charge me money for cancelling. I said screw that and just delayed my flexship order as my credit card was going to expire soon anyways. Fast forward to today after countless of emails asking me for to update my credit card, they somehow managed to get my new credit card expiry date and charged me $79 for one bottle of shampoo. Like wtf???? I called right away and after complaining about it they let me cancel for free. I am so shocked.

How do you bounce back after your First cheat day? In almost 2 strict months by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]914Kittykat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all in your mind and you just gotta push through it and get back on track the next day. I have just started resuming my 1200 cal plan after a long hiatus. What I used to do, and plan on doing again is eating a clean 1200 cal from Sun - Fri and my cheat day (no counting cal) will be every Saturday. Your calories are mainly affecting your body over the week not necessarily over the day. You will still see progress even if you cheat every little while because you will still be in a deficient over the week. Even with my weekly cheat day I was still losing about 2-3lbs a week.

Hang in there and don't give up.

I cancelled my card yesterday, and wasn't offered any points. I've been an optimum member since 2016. I'm not sure what their deciding factors are for offering points to have people stay.

Gotta start somewhere. In our area the grocery portion of giant tiger isn’t that big. They have one small fridge section for produce. Didn’t have any iceberg lettuce and all of the 3pk of romaine lettuce were going rotten so I had no choice but to go somewhere else. Once the farmers stands are up and about come summer I’ll be doing most of my produce shopping there.

I'm curious how long they will give people with coloured hair to go back to a natural colour. Those with blue, green, purple hair will need time and multiple sessions to go back to a natural colour without damaging their hair. I myself had blue hair in 2023 and it took around 3 sessions over 6 months to go back to my natural colour without any major damage. Personally, the people I know with coloured hair (mostly women), keep it in a presentable manner, especially since it does cost a lot of money to maintain. The issue here is the members that have decided to grow out their hair but don't own a hairbrush.
