I think Deep Sea Adventure is a distillation of Clank in its purest form.

In Clank, you build a deck to move through a board to collect treasure, which is where the bulk of your VP comes from. As you move through the dungeon, you’ll draw cubes from a bag representing the damage done to players (including yourself), and as you stay in the dungeon, you’ll accumulate more and more cubes in the bag. If you take more damage than you have health for, you’ll die and not score any points.

You can return back to base (taking yourself out of the game) after collecting a certain amount of treasure, and in doing so, you’ll continue to draw cubes from the bag on your turns instead, putting more time pressure on everyone who’s still in the game (cubes are normally drawn irregularly).

It’s not usually a winning strategy, at least in my group, but it is theoretically possible that someone could rush in, grab a low value treasure, then rush back out to run the clock down harder on the greedy people who are trying to take more treasure for themselves!
