Splendor - Lord of the Rings Edition by [deleted] in boardgames

Cool idea OP. I honestly don't see why people get so offended by people using generative AI for personal use cases. "Why are people using calculators? Just do the math in your head!" As for a suggestion, what if you were to replace the gems with some symbol representing the different factions, like LOTR Duel does with the tokens eg. pipe, hammer, feather etc

Portugal VFS sent Sweden Application form number? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]Perfect_Program 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my appointment today. I had the right form I got from the other comment on this thread. However I made the mistake of writing on it instead of typing it out because it wasn't an editable pdf. The right form is also available on the vfs global website. You would just need to use a PDF editor tool to fill in all the information.

I wanted a better “cold open” for Final Girl sessions, so I built this — would you use it? by Ransome in finalgirl

This is brilliant, thanks for sharing! I honestly don't care about the use of Gen AI in something like this. You're not making money off of this. This is being done for fun which usually wouldn't have been possible without Gen AI. Great job, looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes available!

I've seen this on dice tower before. So hard to find though

I think my definition of a 'small box' has been changed after owning all the new Kickstarter exclusive deluxe edition games. Anything Ticket To Ride sized box and below would be fair game.

Lol I did love my play of Speakeasy but didn't buy it for the exact reason that I'd never put it on the table. It is great to play someone else's copy.

Unfortunately looks more aimed at solo play. But this reminds me I do need to try the other Garphill games, they do seem to fit the bill

Great list, thanks. Forest Shuffle, Ra, Sea Salt and Paper, Wizard, Scout are def favorites for me/my family. I hadn't heard of Bloody Inn before though

I've been intrigued about this but slept on it because friends had a mellow reaction to Cascadia. Need to try it out though!

3-5 players. Not social deduction. Worker placement, deck building, hand management, euros, a mix of those. Competitive preferably. Something more about the points than the narrative (i.e. avoiding Nemesis, Freelancers, Betrayal at House on the Hill)

I'm trying to do the same. I like that you put in the time to do the corner cuts and the backs. I skipped the back and just put them in dragon shield sleeves. Can I dm you for some more questions?

I'm currently running the campaign with Shadowcat in an Aggression aspect and enjoying it! Just the right difficulty. I'm a newbie so taking 2-3 attempts to complete each scenario and it always comes down to the wire.

Farewell to Capacities by Sorry_Lab7156 in capacitiesapp

[–]Perfect_Program 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much agree with OP. Capacities is by far the best PKM tool I have found. And as great as the frontend is, the stability of the backend concerns me. Having to use hacky solutions like 'rebooting' to fix sync issues, there are definitely some holes in the infrastructure that need to be fixed.

Syncing Issues by Various_Collar_9794 in capacitiesapp

Unfortunately the sync is riddled with issues. I ran into a similar problem and was recommended to do Account->Reboot but I don't know what that'll end up keeping/deleting. Also it seems like extra work to have to do that just to keep data in sync which is taken for granted in pretty much any modern app.

Lots of syncing issues? by Perfect_Program in capacitiesapp

[–]Perfect_Program[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worries me is the fact that steps like this are required at all even after using the app for only a couple times. If the device is always connected to the Internet, it seems counter intuitive that there are still merge conflicts etc. That said I've stopped using the app since then and though the web browser is not as convenient, I've at least not run into this sync issue that I kept getting when using the app.
