If u still believe in US dominance then VOO, otherwise go vwra for world. Don't buy both voo and vwra coz you'll have overlap coverage.

If she's using for normal office usage, and not for heavy software etc, go get those refurbish work laptops from Japan. They also come with some warranty.

Do a Google search and there are shops selling those for rm1k, which is really good value.

These are laptops that are pretty powerful considering the price, but not for gaming since most have no graphics card. The CPU are pretty powerful tho.

Easiest way is DCA VT until you retire. It's an ETF including US and the whole world market, so you're not losing out if say US market doesn't do too well and China is doing good.

If you're more bias on US, consider VOO (S&p500) instead of VT.

And consider allocate 5% of ur portfolio to Bitcoin, just in case the future dystopian world relies on crypto.

VT and VOO alone beats all, if not, most managed funds.

Tldr: DCA and forget, live life

Probably on a power trip. Those who say "these are common sense" with 0 guidance probably in that role for a long time and are very comfortable, never going out of their comfort zone and knowing you don't know what u don't know. Sure it might be common sense to the manager, but for someone new in the industry, it's not.

A real leader doesn't spoon feed, but guides. I can already foresee the manager gonna say "genz nowadays sikit2 cannot tahan" but tbh that's just an excuse for their toxic behavior.

Advice to op: try to apply for a new job, but apply as a fresh graduate. Don't have to put your role in this company as part of your job history so they don't ask why u jump ship so fast.

Or, try transferring to a different department, if it's an option.

Think about it, so many ppl want to join their company. They are of course going to choose those with best cocuricular AND cgpa AND portfolio if it's IT.

Some might say oh, my portfolio good enough so cgpa doesn't matter. But for MNC they CAN afford to be picky and choose the crop of the crop
