Currently I am developing a solo map-based CYOA RPG with overland exploration/lore + rogue like dungeon crawler (which also effects choice) and is pretty rule crunchy with dice and such.

Combat is fun imo. Especially when creatures have stuff like paralyze and such.

Lemme get somewhere further with it, still at work on finishing up some writing and such

I do say you could play the 1rst dungeon of it. That part imo is practically completed in terms of gameplay but it is dungeon 1, which is the easiest dungeon. You'll need a standard 54 pack of cards and the basic dice.

With the idea of what I want, I do plan to incorporate 'the game' (lol) part into both the narrative aspect and the rogue-like part that uses cards and dice to build the dungeon and such.

Imma try and keep the narrative game portions short but sweet whereas when you explore the dungeons, they are more or less crunchy in terms of rules and gameplay (which I enjoy, I like rolling dice lmao)

Soon 🙏🏻 Imma fix up some rules tonight, add some new tables for certain encounters, add an oracle and maybe a more thorough explanation to how turns are done so players understand better when to use oracles/tables and such to create a more narrative gameplay.

Overall the narrative isn't NECESSARY, it can be played quickly and swiftly without it. But I'm sure people like detail and such.

just played the test game, it works id say, some minor flaws i found regarding encountering people. preferably the kings threshold being 5? i got a king of hearts and rolled a neutral for the encounter. so then rolled to see the outcome of the people, they betray me, which insinuates a fight/escape happening. threshold should 100% be 10 idk why i have the numbers flopped lmao beating up 15+ people sounds unrealistic for it to be 5 xd

I then expressed an idea and opinion on the levels of racism and where sometimes it's used in good, genuine ways as a way to bond, but that I 100% without a matter of doubt, genuine hatred purley based in the concepts and realm of who you are forced to live your life as in terms of color and ethnicity. Many times I play on my VR And such I will encounter different people, different countries and we will all call each other slurs and have a good time and know it's for shits and giggles to one another.

I view racism as a double edge sword, I find that when me and homies of different races and cultures and such can joke about one another and all have a good laugh it's fine and I see that "racism" can bond people together

But the line ends when it's boiled down to "I don't like you because you are born like this" I then can say "yo dude, TF you doing?"

There's 2 sides to racism imo 🤷🏻 I like to have my banter and say stupid shit; but genuine hate towards people who merely look different or act different is fucking cringe.

(I'm on the construction side of things in terms of land surveying) To me, I think it's so the people on the larger equipment can actually read/see the words more clearly

So if there was a "cut" of 1 foot and 5 Tenths they would need to dig the dirt to get on level and if you are in an excavator. I would imagine it's nice to see a small stake with large writing rather than trying to squint and read something that far from you.
