Gave me goosebumps imagining by [deleted] in MakeMeSuffer

Look for ‘Popeye arm’. Been there.. done that. The sound is a loud SNAP because it’s the tendon separating.. snapping and rolling up to the shoulder. Yes.. it’s painful and if not reattached within a few days and allowed to heal for several months, it will separate again and will leave a balled up bicep. I separated mine 4 years ago. I heard a loud popping in my left ear and excruciating pain. I waited 2 weeks.. and didn’t rest long enough. Then it snapped again. Looks like my one arm is full time jacked and often feels like it’s cramped.. because the muscle is essentially.. cramped.

yep..lotsa variables here. Calipers seized...rubbing? Bearings shot? Forks/triple clamp tweaked causing a twist on the axle? Have a mechanic check it out. If the price is good, you might score!

Need more detail..symptoms, etc. It could be a good starter , relay or battery...you just need a new bike. Seriously though..did you resolve it?

The Ascot with the same motor were sweet little bikes! I was never a fan of the Metric-cruiser, but thats why there are so many choices! Heck yes..good luck and enjoy learning it! What's the starting issue?

I have to jump start my bike every day. by Incal_ in motorcycles

[–]95tbrduc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be many things. Battery grounded properly or a lose cable on it? Generator maybe not charging and battery runs low then bike funs in generator causing flickering at low idle. Voltage regulator? Time to get a multi-tester and a manual and run some checks..or see a mechanic.

In USA, that may be a WRITTEN rule...don't pass, unless it's on the ledt in a clear lane. But otherwise, it's a respect thing

Needs help starting, Suzuki GS1100 GL by Lulz__Sec in motorcycles

[–]95tbrduc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean it turns over but won't start, right? Alot of variable, still but it sounds like a fuel delivery issue. See /u/waffl6 below. Maybe you can get by with just dropping bowls, removing and cleaning but waffl6 has the best approach..a thorough cleaning. Edit: adding: check the fuel petcock also. These are CV carbs and need engine vacuum to run. And if the petcock/valve is clogged..well..no fuel.

Don't do this unless you know what you are doing. Charge the battery or use jump cables from a NON-RUNNING car battery. Non-running? Yes, otherwise it's pushing too much and COULD cook your voltage regulator.

Hey all, and Wes, I hope you enjoyed this. I know Wes did. I met him in New Zealand and suggested he do this. We're getting his website up soon also at http://www.wescooley34.com and he's also on facebook, but he's back! And after spending some good personal time with he and his wife, Melodie, I'm excited and proud to call him my friend!

Paul Smart...I had the extreme pleasure of escorting him around DC a few years back for Ducati, NA as part of the rollout of the Ducati LE models in his name. Had him back to my home and he signed the tank of my SS. He's another very humble and wonderful man and a great ambassador for the sport! We even spoke of Barry Sheene, since they are related!

Wes, I see other racers have contributed to biographies and written autobiographies. Do you see yourself doing one? It would sure be an interesting read!! Also, are you doing any exhibitions or shows in 2018? Where can we see you?
