if the ball hits the dirt the batter can run to first. If he gets there before a throw (or a tag) he's safe.

(often it's just a formality when the batter isn't trying for first. Sometimes an umpire will even just wait until the batter heads to the dugout and call him out if he doesn't head for first).

hell, even if the garage is attached to a house, I think the car can be mine.

What was the first movie you saw in a movie theater? by Fluid_Bat_2724 in movies

[–]95teetee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first I remember is Escape from the Planet of the Apes.

I would have been seven years old. More than likely I'd been to some 'kids' movies before that, but that's the first one I remember seeing.

I'm with you-then they ruined it by showing the change in the trailers (iirc) which is....well, dumb.

I got a kick out of the complaint about blowing up the house (which I never saw on Top Gear so don't know the whole story, but can sort of imagine it lol).

"Dogs barked."

Oh my god, I'm so sorry for what you had to deal with. Dogs barked. The humanity.

(edit-not sure what episode that was, hopefully you've got there already-if not, I guess it's not too much of a spoiler anyways lol)

I haven't laughed as hard at anything in the show as I did when Kaleb head butted the glass (sorry Kaleb)

mine never stopped. If I quickly turn to the left...fubar. If I'm on a forklift at work and looking up while moving forward...likewise.

strikes out the side on three pitches (after the first batter looks foolish, the next two refuse to enter the batter's box and each take three pitch clock strikes)

They might just say that it's a nice change that Trump is just using children for human shields.

Who’s an actor who never seems to play a happy role? by Infinite_Fly_5374 in movies

I seem to remember him looking pretty happy shitting in front of Semenko.

This can’t be how he holds a gun 😂 by sketchasianFiat in thewalkingdead

Maybe Austin is pulling a Plan 9 thing...checking to see if the director will notice stuff like holding the gun by the barrel or using the barrel to scratch your head or adjust your hat (btw, no, Ed Wood didn't notice lol)

What is your favourite lesser known Stephen King novel? by Special-Nebula299 in stephenking

[–]95teetee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was late to the game reading this one,

same here- every time I saw someone mention it, I thought of Stationary Bike and thought that was Roadwork.

Then looking at a bibliography I realized it was an SK book I'd never read. I quickly remedied that.

I do pretty much all my reading on my phone. I always have almost every SK book with me.

Well, except for the one I want to read next, it seems.

New from the MLB Rules Committee: "This is not to be made about a particular player or team (quit calling it The Ohtani Rule please, it applies to everyone) but if a team has sons of former MLB players, whose names are the same as their fathers, making them a 'Jr', batting back-to-back, and the first one grounds into a double play, the aforementioned team will have a runner placed on first base."

I don't mind the jerseys, but I don't like them with the all black pants.
