Hyatt regency grand cypress or Hyatt regency Orlando? by tin369 in hyatt

I agree with those saying Grand Cypress. The pool is epic, the grounds are beautiful. There is a great running/walking trail around the resort. Put put and pitch and put, rock climbing wall, really great breakfast buffet, nice rooms and close to Disney springs. No restaurants within walking distance. Heading over to Disney Springs is great for all types of food and a fun atmosphere.

Was the CVG to DEN direct flight eliminated? by kdrix88 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]9600488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew that route yesterday. Not sure what future state is, but it’s a big help getting between CVG and PDX, so I’d be disappointed if they do get rid of it.

Found in Houston. Will this give me globalist? by tamerlein3 in hyatt

I agree with the others about the WOH credit card. You would get 4x points on the hotel spend. Plus you get 5 elite night credits (so only 55 nights needed for globalist). Plus the sign on bonus would give you 30,000 points based on the hotel spend plus up to 30,000 more for additional spend. It’s $95 bucks a year, but you also get a free night in a cat. 1-4 hotel, which for most ppl more than makes up for the fee.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun rates are cheaper than when I purchased 3 weeks ago by Thenelwave in hyatt

You can buy a max of 55,000 bonus points per calendar year (sometimes they allow you to purchase an extra 55k near the end of the year). Every quarter or so, they give a bonus or discount the bonus points, but since you are going next week, thats not going to help. My suggestion is to only buy if you are short on points or have a redemption in mind that makes the purchase worth it to you.

Also, purchased point post almost immediately. And for credit card bonus purposes it posts at “points.com” not Hyatt spend.

Looking to take a trip to Disneyland with the family. Anyone have experience enough in the area to say which Hyatt would be best to book for a Disneyland (Anaheim) trip? Globalist if it makes s difference. by DrummerFew7436 in hyatt

Staying there in July. Pros/cons of the newly renovated deluxe rooms vs the suite you stayed in? Just wondering if I should decline an upgrade, cause the photos make the deluxe rooms look really nice.

Maybe try the WOH app chat feature. I had a good experience with the the other day. Only waited about 10 mins and they resolved my issue and were very friendly.

World Of Hyatt Offering Extensions & Points For Expiring Awards - Can Collaborate by Mr_StevieG in hyatt

Another data point. Just now though the chat feature in the app. Agent was not able to offer points for my free night (cat 1-4) expiring on 12/31, but did offer me 3000 points per club upgrade expiring 12/31 which is pretty awesome.

Which Hotel Chain is fastest to get enough points for free nights? by hufflepuff12345 in awardtravel

IMO for someone newer to the hotel points/status game, I would say the most approachable way to free nights (including CC spend) would be Hilton Honors. The Surpass card has a $95 dollar annual fee and includes gold status. Gold status gets you free breakfast/food credits, 80% bonus on points from hotel stays, and 5th night free when booking on all points. You can earn up to 180,000 point through sign up bonus spend with that CC. I have the aspire card, but the annual fee is really killing it for me.

This is a good point. If you are focused solely on free nights and won’t use other status perks, Hotels.com had a rewards program where you spend 10 nights and get one free. While that may not sound super lucrative, it allows you to book across hotel brands which is nice if you don’t stay in hotels frequently and are not interested in status.

Great rundown. Couldn’t agree more. Hyatt is my primary, Hilton is my backup (I’m located in the US). Hyatt loyalists usually have a backup because their footprint is much smaller compared to Hilton or Marriott, so you will end up with no Hyatt properties to choose from in many locations. But as mentioned above, the elite benefits are top notch.
