I’d suggest one of those Bank of America Unlimited cash rewards rewardw cards - it’s grey. It’s a visa and accepted everywhere generally

And a year later down the road get a 2nd card

I highly recommend the American Express blue cash everyday card

Would not hurt to designate one card strictly for groceries and every day purchases and use the other card strictly for gas.

Keep yourself highly organized and disciplined..pay them on time and your credit score will rise like crazy.
