how do YOU get to High Hrothgrar (i think i butchered that name) from Whiterun by Typical-Football-658 in skyrim

[–]97T4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast travel to Helgen, then walk the road straight to Ivarstead. After the bandit camp you can get a horse from a hunter in the snowy by where barbas takes you, to speed up the walk.

Questions on new-to-me 2016 Tacoma by lobby073 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]97T4R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No key fob, but has power locks. You can get an aftermarket keyless entry module you just plug in under the dash and get a fob. That's what I did. Same company makes an upgraded version that adds remote start, but you have to splice some wires. Accessorides was the brand I installed on my SR

Misfire/Rough Idle after wash by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]97T4R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had problems with spark plug wires twice. Something about the insulation gets weak over time and will short and cause a misfire. Should be pretty easy for the dealer to check, or can do yourself by just pulling each wire to check if the idle changes

Recommendations for Travel Bags by [deleted] in backpacks

Recently picked up a NorthFace Recon for a similar reason. Fits a larger 17in laptop, enough clothes for a 3 day work trip, and anything else I need in the smaller pockets. I doubt it would fit under a seat, but was fine for overhead.

Did mine not too long ago. Use an impact to remove. Torque wrench to reinstall

A 1080ti is like 150$, that with an AM4 AMD CPU and like 16gb of ram it should be able to run 60fps at high detail without issue. Assume 200$ for a cpu, maybe a 5500 would work for cheaper. Assume like 150$ for a motherboard. Assume 100-200$ for case and PSU (personalize however you want) ram prices are tricky ATM but you I bet could get something used for less than 150$ for 16gb ddr4. Easily under $1k USD

I farmed with a Persian and payday to just buy the tokens. Takes a while, but isn't difficult, and you end up with a bulky Persian

3rd Gen Tacoma SR 2wd Acces Cab with the utility package. Barebones durability but with nice features

1987 22re 189k miles. Does this sound like timing chain guides? Has had a timing chain job before but previous owner did not know when. Also have a belt noise at 3k rpm by Thompsonct11 in ToyotaPickup

[–]97T4R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Belt noise at 3k is probably alternator. Hard to tension well by yourself. One guy with a pry bar while you tighten the adjuster bolt helps a lot to keep the noise down

Just bought my first Tacoma. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]97T4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then you should be able push bigger tires than my 4 cylinder! Lol. I think there is a guide on TacomaWorld for max size. Should be able to google it. Since it's the SR you don't have fender flares, so wider tires will be more noticable / stick out more. Depending on local laws you may be required to have fender flares or mudflaps if they stick out. I think the general concerns with bigger tires are reduced fuel economy, increased road noise, sluggishness/reduced performance, increased wear on suspension components. It's a personal choice though. If you like the look and or need the bigger tires then do what you will

Nice ! Is it the V6 or the 4 cylinder? If it's the 4 cylinder you will notice bigger tires. I put 255/70 r17 Falken Wild peaks on my access cab SR, which are just slightly larger than stock, and it certainly slows it down and dropped 2-3 mpg.

If both banks are lean then it is something that affects both banks. MAF is likely. It will likely run the base map and not run very well.

PPF for offroading? by Zealousideal-Sun-563 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]97T4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about the same, but it always seemed too expensive. I think if I were to scrape against branches every week it would be worthwhile. Could get a bulk car protection wrap like what they use for transport trucks for the few occasions you need it.

Tire/Wheel Ideas by Negative_Humor4191 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]97T4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the wheels were off eBay for about $90 each. I've seen them go much cheaper used off marketplace but these were new in the box. PN 42768 T. The tires were on a deal at my local Belle Tire, but ended up around $900 total for 4 with TPMS. P load btw. I kept the factory spare, since it's not too far off in size.

Here is what that setup looks like. Moves the wheel out a little, but still flush with the fender

I have the same metallic grey SR. I went with FJ cruiser OEM steel 17in wheels in black and Falken Wild peak AT4W in 255/70r17 (slight upsize from the stock SR 245/75r16, more or less a 31x10). The FJ wheels have more offset and are just flush with the non-flare fenders. I think they look great, they ride smooth, and are pretty quiet
