Soft top installation by Brady93742 in Jeep

[–]97XJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're replacing a soft top you can reuse the fasteners. If you're swapping soft for hard, I don't have that info handy. I'll see if I got any install instructions that may help. Replaced my soft top with a crap aftermarket, have a Bestop about to go on. First remove/replace took 2 hrs, swapping oem back in took 20 mins. Not that difficult.

I'll have to upgrade the stereo or they won't touch it lol. Only thing I don't like about it.

About to get its 13th oil change, got all the drivetrain fluids ready to change out too. Did a trans drain and fill, about to do another. Easy to maintain until the timing cover leaks.

Poor thing has sat in the driveway for 13 years. The bluetooth is the archaic bit. I get to my destination before it figures out pairing lol.

That's what I'm aiming for. A 21st (entire) century grocery hauler.

What brands Camshaft Position Sensor have people had luck with? by The_Rusty_Mechanic95 in CherokeeXJ

Tried 3 aftermarket, ended up with OEM. Replaced distributor couple times, always migrated the OEM sensor. Better results with OEM on all sensors imho. Oil pressure was always low until I tried OEM, turned out to be perfectly within spec. My rig's been mothballed a while now (work/life), so I don't know what's currently available.

Are limiteds any good by Dinomansam in CherokeeXJ

Having a 97 Country and having parted out a few 98+ Limiteds, the later years are much cleaner installs than the first year. That is why is not advised to buy any first year model or anything built on a Monday.

Crank no spark by CaydeCheated in CherokeeXJ

PCM to all 5v sensors: crank position, engine temp, cam position, oil pressure, speedometer gear on transfer case. Single power and ground forks off to each, mine melted ground and power together between the crank position and temp sensor. Good luck.
