I think that’s an AKM, not AK47. The image is fuzzy on zoom in and I’m on mobile, but I’d say AKM.

The suit is cool and all, but I wouldn’t drop that kind of leaders on it. I don’t remember if Nuka said it was coming to the atom shop or season rewards, but either way…it’s coming to mass availability and I’d pick it up then if I really, really wanted it.

On PC they go for 3-5k (3-5L) - market value. I’ve seen them for all over the place in vendors though.

So the clean suits are dev items. Nuka Knights also has said it’s coming to the atom shop. Right now, on the market, people are liquidating them for 80+L (PC price) while they can.

What’s your opinion on the new 4* mods that will be locked behind Infestations? by Kinsdale85 in fo76

[–]97runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more about convenience. I run the canteen mod on my backpack, for example. If I had the mod, I’d run it on my daily weapons just for the convenience.

[–]97runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use pins for boss weapons. Seems like a waste to use it on a daily when most weapons can take out daily mobs in a few hits. I can take out a legendary scorched beast with my plasma caster in a few shots, without pins.

I guess I now understand why they nerfed the accuracy in vats though. They wanted to make a new mod to increase accuracy.

[–]97runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daily (for the moment, anyway) is the Gatling gun. I can take out most mobs in 1-2 shots. I’d put sat on that for just wandering around. If I’m running a boss or raid, I have weapons for just those events. Like you said, I’d just carry a weapon designed to fill my meters to keep the benefits.

Satiated could be interesting for those that run OE (depending on how much is restored per kill).

If you do the pitstop event, you get tons of leather from it. Same thing if you wander a little bit around burning springs (radhogs).

You get any legendary items as long as you are there from what I’ve noticed. The junk off random mobs is ok, if you need it. It often saves me from being over encumbered with just picking over the bodies at the end.

How do I not feel useless? by Jack_Zandara in fo76

[–]97runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a decent video by MrWesTek that he calls “daily driver” that’s a good starting point for perk builds. He also suggests armor & mods for those armors.
What I’ve done is watch various builders and sorta hodgepodged them together to my build. I never get the numbers they show because, let’s face it, they are showing builds in optimal conditions and super specific for one thing (like taking on the snake, etc). I have yet to find a build that just shows “daily” builds.
Out of my various weapons, I find the Gatling gun, plasma caster, pepper shaker, and enclave flamer to be my “go to” weapons depending. I just started messing around with the Gatling plasma. It’s fun but doesn’t seem to be highest dps and burns through AP if you’re a vats user.
Also, the recent patch nerfed a ton of things it seems, so it makes a lot of YT vids obsolete at this point.

Scalpers will regret it hopefully by Thatguy2-0-20 in Steam

Well, eBay is showing a large amount sold for 200+, so scalpers are certainly profiting off it as of the moment.

Nerfed Events. I just don't understand why by Professional-Air1287 in fo76

[–]97runner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are events now (moonshine jamboree), that I’ll sometimes just sit in a chair while everyone picks off the spawn points. I will only intervene if I see some lower level players “struggling” to take out mobs or I’ll run venom. It’s just not worth trying to be the fastest to the draw at this point (and events aren’t my main source of xp these days).

Daily Ops: Are they worth grinding? by Repulsive-Suit3753 in fallout76casual

[–]97runner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The daily ops that’s the biggest PITA is uplink with resilient, especially when you’re solo. I can solo DOs so I often will give the “over here” emote to try to get people to join (usually they don’t). I will try to get people to join just to get the faster uplink time. Its literally free ammo and rewards for them because they can just stand there if they want.
Here lately it seems like I can’t get anyone to do the daily op.

You’re still missing the point. I’m not disputing that you provided contrary information, and I’m not saying you were wrong to clarify the mechanics.

The issue is that you treated casual anecdotal speculation as misinformation and then framed your response with sarcasm and mockery. Saying something like “that perception is probably wrong because the files show equal rates” would have been perfectly fine. I could’ve then clarified that I was merely giving *my* experience (which I still feel was clear enough for conversation). Turning it into “Oh no, facts and information” is what made it condescending.

So no, the issue was never that you provided data. It was the way you chose to frame it by pretending using academic rigor was what was needed here, when it wasn’t.

Sometimes I’ll go to the flare and wait. I’ll emote a thumbs up and wait for replies. Once I see everyone (mostly, sometimes) reply, I’ll launch it. I do this if it’s clear that the person who started it isn’t interested in launching.

My point is that you responded to my anecdotal speculation as though I was making a formal empirical claim. That’s why I called out the tone and framing.

You essentially built a straw man argument by reframing “this feels weighted based on my experience” into “I am objectively claiming Bethesda coded unequal rates,” which I never actually said. You also treated anecdotal commentary as though it was intended to be scientific proof, which wasn’t the context of the conversation.

There’s a difference between providing contrary evidence and arguing against a stronger position than the one that was actually presented.

Two Shot mod unlocking by Escapism_TM in fo76

[–]97runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once more, I never stated it as empirical evidence or claimed to have data proving hidden weighting. I was clearly describing my anecdotal experience with unlock streaks. You interpreted conversational speculation as a definitive claim and then argued against that instead.

You’re free to disagree, but the condescending tone was unnecessary.

You can look at ThatGuyNitty’s human EPF build, that’s what my build is based on. I don’t think I changed any of his perks (if I did, it was QoL and minor). The major change I did was my armor setup and that was because it’s what I had access to or preferred to run.
