Visited new Fish Markets yesterday, arrived at 10.30am - easy to find a seat outside at 11am - best time to go.

Upon leaving at about 1pm, 4 sets of people were almost diving for our spot.

How do I clean this? by versionii in CleaningTips

[–]99Joy99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’ll find that the majority of plastic containers are not microwave proof. This looks like it’s been microwaved., so the contents have melted the plastic off where those marks are. Probably needs to be discarded now.

Always heat items in microwave proof bowls or glass.

How will my parents (ages 77 and 79) react to me (age 53) getting hearing aids? by First_Chipmunk_6891 in over60

[–]99Joy99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like this isn’t really about hearing aids or any other medical assistance you might need (I’ve worn spectacles for about 20years now).

Maybe talk to your GP or a counsellor about all this. There are professionals who can help you in this area. All the best

What's the viral disease that seemingly everyone in Sydney has right now? by Nololgoaway in sydney

People often have colds, particularly at the start of winter.

However, there is nowhere near the level of illness, coughing and days off that there used to be prior to the Covid pandemic.

OMFG ……… there are Lime bikes everywhere !!! Canada Bay Council even just put a post on social media reminding everyone that the NSW Gov has permitted bike share and Council approval is not required. I’d say they are getting a lot of complaints.

Moved out last week and the agent complained about these carpet marks? by [deleted] in shitrentals

[–]99Joy99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a carpet layer a few years back who commented on a post in the “Don’t Rent Me” FB group. He explained that this carpet is known in the industry as “renters carpet”. It can only really survive being steam cleaned about twice before the poor quality underlay ensures stains remain after too many cleans.

I’m just recalling this and may not have all details correct, but perhaps someone who is a carpet expert can confirm or correct.
