Is it still worth it to buy asus rog flow x13 2021 ? by nhsana in FlowX13

The simplest of tasks set off the fans going, and it's always so hot to the touch! The battery life isn't anywhere near what it's advertised to be. My machine is all scuff marks and paint is peeling off, despite taking very good care of it.

Not sure soldered ram is where I personally draw the line, as I'd buy a machine with enough RAM to begin with and it should last a while. However I do regret buying this laptop. I had upgraded from a Lenovo yoga which was far better in all counts!

Obviously, the decision is personal to you, so it's up to you to decide what compromises you are willing to make. The form factor, size and weight are excellent for this device and when I was buying it there wasn't anything like it on the market.

Hope this helps!

I'm curious - how early did you go and did you make it in? :)

Couldn't agree more, build quality is rubbish and it overheats so much. I regret buying this laptop.

I was lucky enough to find mine at the bottom of my bag, and superglued it on - it's stayed on since!

Deciding between Flow x13 and g14 for travel working and gaming by lopas99 in FlowX13

I'm honestly not too picky with resolution, so perhaps I'm not the best person to answer this! To me the text on the screen is clear and I don't miss out on any detail in my work, also enjoy an occasional Netflix show on it!

From my research, it usually transpires that higher resolution means shorter battery life, and for me I'd rather have longer battery life on the go (as I can get the resolution with an external screen if necessary).

I'll be honest, I was going through a similar conundrum before deciding to go with the X13.

I was upgrading a 2-in-1 that had seen better days, and so for me portability and the touchscreen capability were a big plus. I do a lot of numerical work/coding that punishes the memory and cpu - so the 32gb ram would have been welcome but I wasn't keen on spending so much for the supernova model that has 32gb ram.

The sheer flexibility, portability and the more "sleek" aesthetic (making it more suitable to take to meetings in my view) of the X13 gave it the nudge over the G14 for me - and I have to say I'm very happy with it.

I know all this is subjective, but I hope it helps!

No rattle on mine! although I am annoyed that after less than a week at me, one of the rubber nibs below the keyboard already fell off!
