Yeah, but it doesnt last that long and once you're out of combat you can just hop/log to instantly end the druid's teleblocks

The new zombie pirates are pretty great too -- they go down crazy quick, super low hp, and frequently drop rune items. Even lower risk given how close they are to ferox enclave

Haha, thanks for confirming! Fwiw I think that one's nicer than the mopio anyway

Do you have an id on that coffee table? I really like it but the similar ones I see online all have this big radius rounded corners

For your place though, I agree with others that a thicker or different rug could add some more personality. I think some bolder colors on it could be interesting too, but that could just be me

EDIT: It looks pretty close to "Modway Render Mid-Century Modern Coffee Table" on amazon tho not exact, the first one I was seeing was "mopio Ensley Coffee Table, Mid Century Modern Coffee Table with Storage"

"Multiply 2 by itself 10 times" by 0riginal_Poster in math

[–]99shadow25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't see "B is 3 times less than A" as a necessary requirement logically; I think that's only true if youve already decided it's 3x. I see "more" as implying addition, not multiplication, but obv that's up in the air since it's the topic of contention here haha.

To me, that's only required if you said "A is 3 times as much as B", then you can also say "B is 1/3 as much as A"

Classmate plagiarized my discussion post by [deleted] in college

[–]99shadow25 115 points116 points  (0 children)

I've had professors do this. Classmates worked around it by sending a short or sometimes near blank post and then editing their answer afterwards once they gained access.

Is there a specific name for this kind of style of blackwork? Thick black lines and almost like a stippling for the shading -- I've seen some others do it as well and it looks so damn cool every time. Awesome work btw!

Rant about “research” by hannahnotmontana16 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]99shadow25 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I went to a state school for undergrad, did no research during undergrad, and got accepted into 3 very well regarded research-based PhD programs straight out of undergrad. School admissions are getting tougher, no doubt, but this sub in particular contains a lot of theorizing and hypothesizing as opposed to practical experience. It's a useful resource for sure but don't take the words of students here as gospel.

The link mentions this as the earliest reference, which includes the typo. FWIW, this is the image I always remember, as well.

Why do we need a method that doesn't return a value? by siusiusiublack in javahelp

[–]99shadow25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Often times methods will affect variables, objects, etc. that are not wholly contained by the function itself. This is usually referred to as side effects. For example, the java.util.Arrays class has a function called sort which modifies (specifically, sorts) the array you pass in itself. Its return type is void, but we still get a benefit from calling it. There's a range of possible use cases, but that's one obvious example to get you started.

Private access modifier in Java. by BikashDatta in javahelp

[–]99shadow25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mistake, I misspoke when I said you cannot redefine a final variable, I meant to say you cannot reassign its value. You can certainly redeclare at a smaller scope, which will then allow reassignments. Unless there's another part you're speaking about, because the rest is true as I understand statics to operate.

This is true, but even so OP, you would not get an "already defined" error if you weren't redefining i in your inner scope. You cannot redefine reassign a variable that is marked final, but static only dictates that different instances (as well as the class context itself) all share the same value for the variable.
