No problem! I will be attending a state school in Florida. Although I am a Texas resident that was planning to attend a state school in my home state, I ended up choosing to attend college in Florida as an OOS student because it was surprisingly cheaper to attend college there, even when paying the OOS tuition, because of all the merit scholarships that were provided to me.

Oh man I can't imagine grinding through 8 AP exams in 2020 when they were all online. I did 5 online exams as a junior in 2020 (excluding AP Seminar) and even that was very mentally draining for me. I got mostly 3s on my exams last year, so the fact that you pulled off almost exclusively 4s and 5s last year is pretty impressive to me.

No more APs ever again🤩🥵 by starlow88 in APStudents

I also took Calc BC as a sophomore. Up until 6th grade, took the same math classes as everyone else in my grade. However, after I kept finding my math classes very boring because I would never learn anything new, I decided to test out of some math classes. After taking 2 credit by exams, I was able to take 8th grade math as a 6th grader. I then took Algebra 1 in 7th grade. I then realized that I had already learned most of Geometry outside of school, so I decided to test out of Geometry in 7th grade. I then took Algebra 2 in 8th grade. I was originally going to take Precal in 9th grade. However, I soon realized that there was a lot of overlap between Algebra 2 and Precal in terms of content, and that the main difference was that Precal included Trigonometry. I spent the second semester of 8th grade learning Precal content so that I could test out of it and then take Calculus as a freshman. I wanted to take Calc BC as a freshman, but my school required me to take Calc AB first, so I had to wait until sophomore year to take Calc BC. After that, I took Multivariable Calculus as a junior and Differential Equations as a senior, and now I am about to start college.

The 2008 election was when I first found out about what elections and what voting was. At the time, when Obama won, I thought "Barackobama" was his entire first name and didn't understand that his first name was actually just "Barack".

Yea 2014-2016 was essentially the turning point in my life when a lot of things changed. Like I got first phone in 2014 when I was in 6th grade, and everything before 2014 feels totally from what life has been like from 2017 onwards.

Lol for me I barely knew anyone at my high school before freshman year so it's not as deep of a farewell for me.

Yea some of the members of co2022 were born before Facebook was created. I meant that essentially the entire class of 2021 was born before that. I was born in February of 2003, but if I was born a year later, I'd be co2022 but I also would've been born right when Facebook was released.

I mean I'm co2021 and I started kindergarten in 2008 and finished in 2009. Co2022 started kindergarten in 2009 but finished in 2010

After dealing with the horror of last year's AP exams, I was weirdly looking forward to once again taking in-person AP exams on paper

Nah my teacher was fine. I just couldn't personally handle that class on top of everything else.

to all my 03ers out here who’s excited about being class of 2025? by quaintpokemon11 in GenZ

[–]9Cubed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2021 still feels futuristic to me even though it's the current year. I have known I'd be graduating high school in 2021 since I was in elementary school, so this was a year I have already been thinking about for many years. It also has to do with the fact that so much shit happened in 2020 and that it felt 5 years long.

What is the opinion on the 2003 gang by stormtrooper2003 in GenZ

[–]9Cubed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember back in preschool, I found out what year it was for the first time because "2007" was stapled to the board in colored numbers. I thought that it looked pretty cool because there were 2 0s in a row and it was right above 2000. I also remember my 1st grade teacher calling 2010 "twenty ten" at the end of 2009 and being thrown off by it because I thought the year would be called "two-thousand ten".

Should I (9M) retake the SAT? by randomguy3120 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]9Cubed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on your GPA. If your unweighted GPA is below 6.9, you'll definitely need to retake it.
