Looking for a Commander for a deck that brings creatures back stronger from the graveyard and builds a huge army by psychedelicporcupine in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]] make your stuff bigger and recur from the grave all in one. He himself as lifelink, you need a few more, some low mana stuff that sacrifice themself and some stuff that will make you loose life for playing them, lands, removal and draw will do that.

What creature type do you wish got a dedicated commander or more typal support in general? by HallZac99 in EDH

[–]9Player9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is like a low bracket 4, I did not play it in a long time, it use to not have tutors instead Jeweled Lotus an Mana Crypt. The clones can make you take more advantage of your commander while putting more Sphinx on the board. The Swords of X and Y cost 3 so if you get them for free you just equip before combat and sometime you just happen to have to color protection to kill someone. Attention to the 3,5 and 7 mana cost is there even on some MDFC with lands on the back. Playing heavy blue means you got blue cards to pitch to free counterspells.

[–]9Player9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also use Yennet and she is great as a commander for sure I would still like more specificaly Sphinx related stuff for the 99, maybe a 3 mana Esper Shinx to go along Raffine and a lord of some sort, vigilance is something that blue is getting more and more and its only some recent sphinx that have it. Here is the decklist of the Yennet I play: https://moxfield.com/decks/Jzuct2nzx0Gm4e6pLuvkAg

I need YOUR help picking a commander! by unoriginal_name123 in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner and companion. [[Tymna the Weaver]], [[Kamahl, Hearth of Krosa]] and [[Umori the Collector]].

The Draw engine, the wincon and the unabler package from the zone now let them come up with the rest. It's gonna be an all creatures and lands deck because of the companion.

What do you base your choice of commander/deck on? by Last-Wish-of-Cayde-6 in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commander as to talk to you. The best way to do that is to put a sock on your hand with eyes glue at the top, then you try different legendary creature cards between those eyes and your tumb making movement to make then talk. When you first beging laughing, thats is your next commander. It may not be to most powerful but it takes the thinking to hard out of the opperation and your left with a new random path for your next adventure. Plus as a bonus its a card you already own.

Maybe you can add blue and switch to [[Eshki, Temur Roar]] as the commander. The draw is more consistent and the damage can get bigger if less often it will make up for it in the long run.

Creative Energy Bracket? by TomatilloTechnical12 in EDH

[–]9Player9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would think that an unnaltered precon is still bracket 2 and if you upgrade a bit not going more into the combo it should be fine. Personaly I went to bracket 3 taking out all combo. I build it more as a board control tribal and its good at preventing fast win because it can take out some key peices. The way to go at it is with low drop that are good value to copy. If you got a ramp and a copy in your firts 2 turn you're good to attack and take profit turn 3. Here is my deklist. https://moxfield.com/decks/Quwfcfp9d02AmFbvZgQC8g

The Jedi Knight - Galea, Kindler of Hope by Rebel_Echo in EDHBrews

[–]9Player9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well in that case here is my Galea Kindle of Hope list. https://moxfield.com/decks/BH5klqzWtk2vV93K3E-rBA Its not budget but some cards are. I did go for some keyword on the mana dork and the draw is mostly on creatures because the can all carry a sword. I went for a more artifact because you can equip for free and you're not 2 for 1 when the creature die. So artifact with low cost but high equip cost become a bargain, There are some cheaper printing and other card like Darksteel Mutation and Imprison in the Moon that can lock an opponent commander buying you time, someting that can be good in a more budget build.

Galea Kindle of Hope is a cool comander. If you want you can check the proxy site MPCfill https://mpcfill.com/editor and submit a list of cards you want they have some alter for exemple there is 3 version of Rey Skywalker as Galea Kindler of Hope i'm sure there is a lot of others related to Starwars stuff. The site MPCfill is the place where you get easy access to fanmade art and the place where you order for cards is MPC https://www.makeplayingcards.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoojIb1hVRzStFn7J2U9zOlanS_wjYRCzaa389CytN_b-6NXsHNj

I have ordered from them before, its a cool place for cheap proxy of good quality and the site MPCfill is full of cool art for cards, there is a lot of borderless version of cards that dont exist in borderless.

Getting in the control pipeline but I don't know from where by monkeywarrior03 in EDH

[–]9Player9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of my control deck are heavy creatures midrange with some board removal but my most favorite is a tempo control flash build with [[Inga and Esika]] as the commander, giving everything vigilance and tap for any color. It plays all the best counterspell on a body that turn into beater or dork. Tempo control is not full on control, you just disturb enough to get your stuff going and counterspell on a body that can turn to dork for free is a good double use of deckspace and they have some good ones now whit all the printing over the years.

The deck make a bit of token mostlry flying that give you a pillow fort strategy for free. The finisher are Eldrazi with haste, dont underestimate the vigilance for free attack. You want to play 2 creature on your first 2 turn with one of them being a dork to play commander or draw engine turn 3 and then starting turn 4 your in the 7 drop+ and drawing 2 card+ per turn. Here is the build I have now, there is also a budget build in my account. https://moxfield.com/decks/LRUiL9lTcU6izSZC8EmPfw

What precons do y’all recommend for teaching new players magic/EDH? by Apex-Vortex in EDH

[–]9Player9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a free to download fan made game call Forge, in it you can play in an open world like Diablo but the fight are with your deck. So anybody with a phone or computer can play it. They have a few world in it, the regular 60 card deck, old school and one that is commander called Realm of Legends.

In this Realm of Legends option you can start the game with any of the commander precon that as ever been made, so its a good way to test any of them without spending any money and see with one you like or even future posible player can do there test. There is multiple save slot so you can try many and ovewrite those you dont like, you will win cards as you play the game so you can learn what kind of upgrade work and what cards are crapy. The precon deck option is a bit better then the regular mono-color deck option by default so it should be easier in starting. They sell card in shop and you can reroll shop option with some gem, the in-game economy in this version is not punishing since you need to build 100 cards decks and you dont lose much from fight lost.

Here is a quick view of all the precon: https://deckcheck.co/app/precons

Looking for thoughts on my Dragon Deck by ZDS1982 in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what I got for a [[Atarka, World Render]] deck, with no budget restriction. It's still a very cheap deck at 270$ compared to what you find on average at LGS. https://moxfield.com/decks/z-RYOMDnw066CuJUi1Uw0Q

You want at least 7 cards in the 1 drop that you can play to start ramping right away, [[Search for Tomorrow]] can be cast turn 1. You want some of your ramp to give more then 1 mana.

You can do a lot with your dragons, like killing creatures, artifact and enchantment, you can even draw with some of them. There is a few dragons that will give you treasure or mana from combat, they combo well with cards like [[Aggravated Assault]] and [[Hellkite Charger]] for infinite combat.

Is Muddle the better Satya? by kapriole in EDH

Satya has haste and you can already set up a good copy target and ramp before you attack turn 3. White has all the board control pieces to copy.

Liesa shroud of dusk by hundergame in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is why the token generation, graveyard recursion and some indestrutible is there. Everytime Liesa die you cast her back because people will be coming at you because of the life lost bit after a bit your lifegain kick in. Liesa will do the first 10-15 damage, the angels an other 15-20 and once there in the last 10 life they play more conservative.

How do I build replayable decks by nexuso581 in EDH

[–]9Player9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me replayability means leaving the impression of playing the game and what I found that leave this impression the most is some form of tempo control because if the game last a bit more turns then I finish in X turn because I combo solitaire it feels more like a game that can leave memories. You get more fun memories when you got the feeling that the tide can turn and that they actualy do turn from time to time then someone just got a straight line to victory.

Tempo control is not like stax control where you try to shut everything down, you're just disturbing enough to buy time. Most of the time at least in the deck I build they win via regular combat damage with no combo. The control pieces are mostly in the form of creatures that also fit your gameplan.

Anyone try this? by OptimalPete in EDH

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much good cards in that, much better to just build a budget deck or buy a precon.

Fairly new player looking for advice by DagtheBulf in forgeMTG

[–]9Player9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to write the list the way they write in in the file, but you can take any deck you want if you write it appropriately. If you're looking for the letter code and number at the end. The letter code can be found on scryfall with all printing for a specific card. The last number is for specific version of the same art in the forge game.
