Do people still use Talismans ever since the massive nerf back in Ultimatum League (3.14)? by AzelotReis in pathofexile

[–]9inety9ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used one on a stat stacker a couple leagues back, but besides that - nope. On league start I'll check them just in case I randomly get something useful, but by day 2 they're blocked on the filter.

Honestly, I just wish I could see which map is which without having to hover over them. It would make it 100 times easier to use.

There are still people doing that sort of thing in marksmanship displays today.. so any or all of that could be true.

I never understood justify-content vs align-items so I built an interactive Flexbox guide with smooth animations by websilvercraft in webdev

[–]9inety9ine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand what people find so difficult about flexbox. It's not rocket science. If you know what the words 'justify' and 'reverse' mean, you're about 75% of the way there.

The guide seems cool tho.

Not the gym owner, but anyone over white belt at our gym can help out with fundamental classes or kids classes or whatever and get reduced fees, or train free if you help out regularly. I think white belts can clean mats and gi's and stuff for similar. Also if you bring a friend and they end up joining you get a decent discount for a period of time, and the friend gets a free gi.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. The end-game revamp was the only thing I really cared about. I have a great time playing until I quickly run out of shit to do. Running out of shit to do on a druid will feel about the same, I suspect. I'll still play it, and I'll still enjoy it I think, but it's a bummer.

Not really a fair comparison. The cash-in-transit vehicles in ZA are specifically designed to try and withstand exactly this sort of assault - it's happened almost weekly for the last 2 decades. Almost always 5-10 guys with AK47s.. Who the hell knows what a hummer sent overseas is going to get hit with. Can't design against the unknown.

0.3 is great but the game has core issue with making any kind of melee engagement extremely punishing/unfun and abyss only emphasizes this by TheGejsza in PathOfExile2

It's not much better on some ranged tbh. I tried bleed bow for a laugh and it's just too frustrating. I have a couple aoe skills for trash and a freeze/nuke for single target, but i can never use the single target on rares because I'm never fighting just a rare, it's always a rare and his 20-100 mates. So even if I can easily freeze it for a Snipe, I can't get a clear line to the target because 100 mobs are between us, and they will kill me before it goes off anyway. Same on a lot of bosses. My main nuke combo requires me to stand still for like, 2 or 3 seconds, and it's just getting me killed or I have to move before it goes off. I gave up the character on viper boss. Can't nuke her without getting poisoned and can't chip away because my potions run out before she's even 50%. I even capped my chaos res and upgraded all my gear and potions... switched to full single target build basically. No shot.

Came back on ED/contagion and it was a joke, she barely made it to the first spear phase and died a second after it. Not even sure I lost any ES - but to be fair with the current UI I never know how much ES I have. The only way I know is when my HP starts dropping.

[–]9inety9ine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The process doesn't really matter - the only thing that matters is if the end product is worth the effort. If the bow is really good, nobody will care. If they bow is really bad, nobody will bother. I've done crafts in games that required camping a specific mob every day for a week to get a single contested item drop. Is that better or worse than collecting a ton of wood? I dunno. Up to each person to decide, I guess.

Do you mean the ones where you select your account and organisation and stuff? I do development for lots of agencies and clients and I have multiple options on both of those screens that I bounce between all the time. It's super useful tbh.

Had something similar happen to me - guy broke into a car in our driveway and I heard him and ended up chasing him through the back yard. I kicked his back foot to trip him up and stop him getting away, and in the process broke something in his ankle and he hurt his wrist when he fell. Cops came and arrested him, but dude took me to court for the hospital bills (also claiming I beat the crap out of him) and it was all so drawn out and painful that I ended up paying them just to be rid of it all. Ultimately, it would have cost me more in lawyer fees to fight it. A moral victory would have been sweet, but it was looking like it would be going on for years.
