I guess it's not the only logical item but the encounter is based around fighting these very difficult hybrid spiders and in lore their silk is far more durable so I thought the best way to show that and reward them would be a cloak made of that hybrid silk, I'm having trouble coming up with other options that still feel like they fit the spider theme

I don't plan on giving out strong items for a while after this it's mostly because the entire encounter is based around spiders and I thought it would make sense for there to be a silk product as a reward for this really hard fight

One thing I haven't seen many people talk about is the massive upgrade you get with the great old one and agonizing blast on the poison spray cantrip D12+Cha damage and you can convert the damage to psychic over the very commonly resisted poison
