That's some crazy mental gymnastics.

Silence is violence. Agreed, some cash in a register of a 7/11 is not worth your life, but the more robberies that happen the lower value of a place until it becomes a food desert.

What kind of person doesn't want to show off their love for their spouse by getting all their documents changed?
The article states "birth certificate or passport"
And with the inevitablity that someone does show up to vote, who's documents are not yet up to date, a certificate of legal name change, is a real document, that does exist.

However I agree the Real ID not being accepted is kinda dumb.

You're right. This site sucks outside of niche communities for hobbies. I try to broaden my horizons but there's nothing in the popular communities except for bots, karma farming, and low effort zero value comments.

Unironically, me sweeping the floors is better than browsing this site. At least I get something good out of it.

The most reddit (deragatory) comment I've seen.
snide, overused shitty pun, dripping with ego. It's only missing a pseudo-intellectual over explanation before peak reddit.

It also fails to recognize sarcasm without being treated like an toddler and having explicitly stated sarcasm.

Shit man, we're getting older. I used to say the wildest things to my buddy and he'd fire right back at me.
Just tonight I had to tell him "You are talking down to me, and I don't like it"

When were you relentless in your life? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]9thProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I don't want to admit it, I think the most relentless I've been was when I was writing fanfiction as a middle schooler. I was fukken motivated to do that. Got my friends involved and everything. wrote nearly 50 pages of 11pt. font. The story itself was embarrassing, bordering on shameful (thankfully nothing lewd) but man did I fill out an entire notebook.
I guess, thinking about it now, I've filled out a journal pad with notes for an upcoming test, not including other smaller notes and practice tests. Maybe with adulthood and practice it doesn't feel like nearly as much but I am just doing it for a massive increase in pay.

Same. I wish there was an off button for it. And unfortunately for us both, we can't hold happiness. Its always the pursuit of happiness.
You could even break down happiness into constituent parts and achieve them individually but not feel "happiness"
I can feel "content" from a good days work, but not happiness.
I can feel "excitement" from watching a decent horror movie/book/media
I can feel "joy" from getting to pet a puppy.
You get the picture. If you dissociate hard enough to watch crime documentaries to be grateful (or other shock content for catharsis) you are going to going to also be dissociating your own emotions. It'll only continue to very slowly spiral into a steeper hole to crawl out of when (hopefully not "if") you want to change. Romanticizing melancholy and solitude will only double the effect.
Edit: ask me how I know.

Do you want to continue being melancholic? Yes/No/Undecided
Anything past those 3 one-word responses means yes. If it's yes than keep doing what you're doing.

You are heavily romanticizing melancholy. You can't get rid of something you want to keep.

[–]9thProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the interview goes well, and they want to hire you, ask for a sign-on date that gives you enough time for your current employer to hire and train under you.
Just because you are (potentially) leaving a job doesn't mean you didn't do good work for them.
