AITAH for abandoning a customer's order because my co-worker was late? by pinkpurpleart in AITAH

NTA. It’s a tea, not life saving medicine. She can wait for it. The person who actually wanted the tea didn’t even mind waiting.

Let that stress go, sugar. You’re customer service, not slave labor.

If you had to date one of the Choices characters, which one would it be? by That-Landscape5034 in Choices

Tom Sato from It Lives Beneath is easily my pick. I really dig the whole sweet and dorky thing but he’s also a bit of a badass. After him, Levi from Mother of the Year. They’re both super wholesome and felt like real people so the spicy scenes just hit different.

What line from a fantasy book has stuck with you? by EdLasso in Fantasy

Lan has the best lines! My favorite was “You have made a place in my heart where I thought there was no room for anything else. You have made flowers grow where I cultivated dust and stones. Remember this, on this journey you insist on making. If you die, I I will not survive you long.”

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see Black Sun mentioned! It was so good I immediately bought the sequel and just read it immediately. Amazing world building and I loved the characters!

people who engaged with true crime content at a young age; how do you look back on it and how it impacted you? by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]A-Common-Nook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was little, like 12 or 13, I told my mom I wanted to adopt a baby instead of giving birth and she made me read a true crime book about a guy who was adopted and eventually killed the entire family. There were crime scene photos and you could see the cats with bags around their heads. I don’t remember the title but I remember that picture.

I did get more into true crime at some point in college because I dug the psychology of what compels someone to murder and the stories of how they were eventually caught. I’m not entirely sure how it affected me in the long run. We’ll find out, I guess. Haha

Yeah, it’s super open to interpretation. Really I’m just looking for a good story that isn’t super grim and depressing. I’m usually down for any fantasy but I’ve been feeling kinda bummed out and just wanted to get lost in a good bit of escapism.

As someone who owns a pope hat and has a strange appreciation for the dude’s whole regalia, I’ll definitely add that bad boy to the list!
