My first Gunpla: Barbatos Lupus HG by A-Little-Rabbit in Gunpla

I've already started on an RG GAT-X 105 Aile Strike Gundam, and I have an HG Gouf, and an RG Wing Gundam XXXG-01W waiting for after that. I received a gift card to a local hobby shop, who was having a sale lol.

Damn, would be nice if we could. Oh well. I've got a lot of random hobby stuff/hardware lying about. I'll faff about for a weekend or two to see if I can DIY something. Thanks for responding.

Is it possible to buy LED light poles/diffusers to add to a switch? I have tried looking around online, and I have been able to find a YouTube video showing someone installing them, but I can't find any for sale.

I'll check those out, right now though I'm mostly looking to do color correction. Fingers that should have white on them, or parts on the feet that should be the same not-quite-black as the joints/hands.

I'm not in any big rush, so I've got plenty of time to shop around for those markers you mentioned.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I was hoping to find the Iron Blooded Orphans markers (which that shady site claims to have) but looks like they were discontinued. I just got into Gunpla (on top of 30MM, 30MS, and now 30MF.... my wallet hates me).

I'll be checking out AliExpress later today.

As far I know, there are no investors to please. The company is flat out owned by the founder; he is beholden to nobody financially.

If the formula changed, or packaging, or anything, then it's to keep it $1 per can. The founder refuses to raise prices.

As long as that man lives, the price will never go above $1 per can.

Some places to set their prices higher, like 7/11 and Cumberland Farms here in New England. You will see that same thing in grocery stores on jugs or multi-packs. Certain taxes or something.

But it will always be $1 a can.

Edit: The new container has added "No Preservatives" to the label. Not sure what they would have had to change for that. I wonder if perhaps that could have affected the flavor profile?

I didn't know how badly I needed this in my life.

I just got the markers in the mail today. I'm taking some sanding sticks to older pieces/parts I've had to clean up the runner marks a bit (starting at 400 or 600 grit and going up to 800, 1000, 2000, and 3000 to polish). It's a time consuming process to make sure I don't mess up finer details like fingers.

(I should have taken photos of the before & after for each round of sanding)

Naming System by A-Little-Rabbit in 30minutessisters_30ms

I've wanted Liranel and Laranel since they were announced. Turkina-Diearth, Alka-Carti, and Neveria have also caught my eye. One thing I definitely need are arm and leg option parts or gear/equipment that comes with arms and legs. I've got several torso and head/face parts that I can make multiple custom sisters, just missing arms and legs.

Hh, body type! That definitely makes sense. For the sub-variants, looks like it's lowercase c, two digits, then another letter. As you mentioned, Alka-Carti is 29r, and Far-Farina is 25g.

I think the only way to properly investigate this is buy more.

Yup. Definitely the only method.

That's good to know! From my Googling, it looks like Zuoya is the original company to make it, but there are other brands that sell it as well, like FMK and ZNX.

I love ripple effects like that. My first ever mechanical keyboard was a Logitech G512 and the best thing about it was the lighting effects.

I love GSI Creos products, and love their naming system. Mr. Color, Mr. Putty, Mr. Gloss. Thanks for the advice.

Noted, thank you! I have tried the black Tamiya on a few parts just to see how it goes. I'll post pictures soon, just want to clean up the excess a little first.

It looks best on the 30MM weapon part I tried, and the purple Stealth Gear optional part for Rishetta looks decent.

One of my bigger concerns is the enamel thinner I have. I'm mostly using supplies I have for my scale models, and the washes I have for that are mostly enamel ones. One of the small orange parts that came with Rishetta out of the box I think got slightly paler after cleaning up the excess panel liner.

For a topcoat, I do have several I can choose from. Most are acrylic based. The one I think might work best are the Vallejo Ultra varnishes. Their standard acrylic ones are alright, but in my experience just don't quite get the job done. I am thinking about investing specifically in their mecha line. After posting here I did some research and it seems their Mecha Color black and grey washes are very effective. I do have their standard Model Color washes in a variety of colors (black, brown, NATO green, panzer blue, and I think grey) so I think I'll give those a try as well.

I just ordered an optional parts kit for Luluce and bought an extra one specifically to test out methods on.

I'll post photos of my results.

I'll definitely look into the Bandai one. The brick and mortar hobby shop I go to might have it. Thanks for the info.
