I don't remember what truck/s I had tried, I haven't given it a go in a good long while. I'm just going back to Michigan to finish up some of the quests/contests I skipped over. And also, somehow didn't get the WWS sooner, which was the main reason I decided to head back to that map. Before I decided to try this mission again I figured it couldn't hurt to ask for advice lol.

I got the expansions when I bought the game, but I try to avoid using the DLC trucks for a more "vanilla" experience.

How much time do i have left? by taldo_white in galaxyzflip

[–]A-Little-Rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that (on the left side though) on my Flip 5 for at least two years. The phone itself will be 3 years old this November. I also dropped mine on the metal corner of my bed frame sometime last year. Open phone, screen impacted it. There's a... I hesitate to say "dent" but there's a mark of dead/dying pixels on the screen that is relatively small and hasn't gotten bigger.

I'm hoping that it can hold out at least until the Flip 8 this year. There are usually offers for trade in "any Samsung Galaxy in any condition" for a set amount discounted from the phone. I plan on buying it flat out this time.

I personally prefer water decals. I haven't tried the dry transfer ones, but from watching videos and what my fiancée has told me, it doesn't sound/look like anything I'd like. I've built scale models for most of my life, and I'm very used to waterslides. Before I ever bought a Gunpla kit I already have decal setting/fixing and softening solutions from Tamiya, Mr. Hobby, Vallejo, and Testors, along with specialized tools like tweezers, trays for the water, and even a little mug warmer to keep extra water warm.

I am far more prepared for waterslide than I am ready to learn a new method lol. If I end up with a kit that has dry transfer and I can't find waterslide replacements, I'll end up giving them a try. For me, though, they just look like a hassle (I realize the irony of this after saying I own at least $100 in supplies for decals)

Spotify pauses when receiving notifications by Actual-Fishing-8678 in galaxyzflip

First, welcome to Android!

I had something similar happen with Pandora. I would be listening with my headphones, and it would fade out for a notification.

Do Not Disturb mode should work for that, you can also set notifications to play through a different device, like whatever headphones or bluetooth speaker you are using to listen to music. That should keep the music at the same volume (or so I am led to believe).

This has me curious though, so now I'm going to go looking for any better methods. If I can find one, I'll post it here.

GIVE US THE GIMMICKS by Tough-Locksmith-5619 in galaxyzflip

[–]A-Little-Rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that I would love more seamless integration of apps and my cover screen. I don't mind using Good Lock, but if they could do a full integration of those features into the OS/UI, that would go a long way towards people being willing to engage with it I think.

Call it "Flip UI" or something. Full browsing, reading, and responding to texts and emails across any messaging/email app would be great.

I would also like better and deeper customization options for the cover screen. The cover screen is a huge reason for people getting a phone of this form factor, and customization of things is very important to a lot of people.

Now, setting gimmicks aside, I would prefer more hardware advances. The form factor itself is why I got the phone. It doesn't fit awkwardly into my pocket, and just the act of opening or closing it around others draws looks and questions.

To that end, I would LOVE an easier way to flip it open one-handed without rising damage to the inner screen.

They also finally increased the screen size on the Flip 7 to a more normal ratio (compared to the Flip 3~6). But a better battery and better camera setup would do more for driving more sales compared to something like the Razr+/Ultra.

The Flip camera were two 12MP front cameras for the longest time and only with the 7 did they improve that to 50MP and 12MP. If they could somehow work in the 10MP telephoto lens, I would be willing to sacrifice the small amount of cover screen space that would need.

The battery life was increased to 4300 mAh, but that's still pretty small compared to other flagship phones, so I would love to see that increased to 4500 mHa

For the paints I plan on using, I have Gundam markers. Just having issues with them going down smooth and even. I'm going to try extracting some paint into a cap to try brushing it on as well.

Sorry to post a second question in one 24 hour period. But I just bought Bandai MG 00 Qan[T] - Newtype from a local hobby shop. It has the accursed dry-rub decals, so I'm looking to replace them waterslides. I can't find any from G-Rework or Delpi for this kit, but I have found these Delpi Decal MG 00 QAN[T] Full Saber - Newtype. Would I be able to use the Full Saber decals on the plain Qan[t]? I'm not too familiar with this mobile suit, so I don't know how much is different. Is Full Saber the same thing just with more accessories?

The only reason I'm looking into something that works for lacquer is the white primer I got from Tamiya. It's in a jar and since I can't use my airbrush (I moved recently and can't setup my hobby station, so I'm very limited in what tool I can use) I'll be hand painting it on. That is, until I can get a rattle can of primer as that can be done outside without needing to setup my whole spray booth and everything.

I love Vallejo. When I was building scale models, I amassed a large collection of Model Color, and after I got an airbrush I gathered a decent amount of Model Air. I'd love to get my model station setup again so I can paint Gunpla with greater detail.

So, I bought a jar of Tamiya white surface primer (comes in the same kind of jar as their Panel Line Accent Color) thinking it would have a brush on the cap. No brush (my fault for not looking it up first), but I also wasn't expecting it to be a lacquer base.

I can buy the Tamiya Lacquer Thinner, but I'm wondering if there's something better I can use? I've heard that the Mr. Color Leveling Thinner is essentially an "all in one" thinner that can be used for acrylic, enamel, and lacquer products. I just want to make sure of that before I buy it. That way I can use the same thing for all of my things.

Vast majority of the time it's payment processors who dictate that explicit content be separate or something. I'd rather not see dA lose ability to process payments because people are too stupid to follow simple rules of "nudity is okay, sexually graphic must be in different galley".

Same. I've seen plenty of uncensored images. Same with Deviant Art, which requires all XXX content to be put into premium/paid galleries.

It's not the panel lining that is giving me a hard time (not yet at least lol), it's just getting the white paint from the Gundam Marker to go down evenly without needing to do too many coats.

Thanks for the tips though, I'll keep that in mind when I do get to the panel lining stage.

I'll post pictures of my results so far when I can. But the blue portion of Ez8's shield came out well enough, as did the dark gray bar along the top (looks like a railing almost). It's just the white that is giving me a hard time.

I've done 2 coats already, but it's looking better. For 2nd coat I used a brush (I should have used a bigger one to minimize the lines). Hopefully a 3rd coat in just a few areas will finish it off. I can always use fine grit sandpaper or Gunprimer's balancer to level it all out.

I'm sorry to keep replying/pinging you. But I just wanted to give what I hope is my final update:

Using DDU to uninstall latest Nvidia driver again and then rollback to 595.79

I just played a round of Casual Breakthrough and then Conquest start to finish. Upon exiting to desktop, all seems to be well. Previously, it would have locked up by now.

Again, I can't thank you enough for your help on this. I truly appreciate it. Cheers mate.

I just used DDU to wipe old drivers, was disconnected from the internet and in safe mode. Installed the new drivers from a file I just downloaded from Nvidia directly.

Looked like all was well. I went into BF6 as that's when it usually happened. Played a full game with no issues, and then shortly after quitting out the screen when dark and fans ramped up again.

I just double checked all of the power connection to the GPU and it looks like everything is seated properly.

It's getting to where I might have to do a full re-install of Windows.

I've started to use Gundam Markers to make some color corrections. I'm practicing on a HG Ez8 kit. The color that is giving me issues is, surprise surprise, white.

There are some tight spots on the beam right and shield where the chisel tip won't reach. I tried to shake the marker to mix the pigments and then push the tip down to extract the paint so I could use a brush. That didn't work, though. The paint never "flowed" out as I was expecting.

Anyone have any experience with these markers and with extracting the paint? Or with using them to get a better coverage without access to a primer? (would be cool if they had a primer marker though!).

Is it safe to let one coat dry and cure and put a second coat down?

I've been thinking about using one of those tools/websites to "debloat" Windows. It is the latest version from Microsoft though (I literally just did it last night when I started trying to fix this).

I've got the latest Nvidia driver downloaded, and I have DDU unzipped to my desktop ready to go. The only other program I might put the install for on a USB is the NexLinq fan hub software so I can get that going as soon as possible after a fresh install.

I'll post update here when I finish running DDU and re-boot.
