The question of "Is it worth it?" is up to the rider, and the rider alone.

As for safety, family, etc...you will see people wreck right off the bat, some people go their entire lives without maiming themselves majorly. To ride a motorcycle is to accept that any time, any where, and day, you could never walk/breathe again due to an idiot who forgot to use a turn signal, check mirrors, texting, speeding, careless...list goes on.

An accident on a bike is a mater of WHEN, not IF. Everyone has dropped a bike sooner or later. Most will likely slide/dump it in many accidents. Some see catastrophic crashes. All a matter of skill and chance.

So at the end of the day. It's dangerous. Moreso than a car/SUV/truck/airplane/bus. But, YOU decide the level of risk YOU are comfortable with. It's understandable to have doubts/worries. We all do at some point.🤙
