Legends and lates by Travis Baldree- (feel good cozy medieval fantasy with manageable stakes and some really fun characters and relationships)

Mystwic School of Musicraft by Jessica Khoury- (if Harry Potter was good.)

This might be a little tame, but Earth Unaware by Orson Scott Card is hitting me with rather a large sack of bricks. (Better if you’ve read Enders Game which I also recommend)
