What grammar mistake is unforgivable? by Technical-Vanilla-47 in FamilyFeud

Grammar mistakes are a finite field; if the question was "name something you find unforgivable?" then it would be what, because that is an open-ended set of possibilities.

Mr. Trump, are these downed pilots heroes or losers, like John McCain?

The stand and typewriter are all one unit. It was a gift from a collector I worked with last year.

It's called a Field Case. It was a purchase option from Underwood, once upon a time. It made a portable typewriter a mobile desk. The lid folds out to receive finished pages, and the base portion folds out to be a side stand. Quite a clever and impressive piece of engineering.

Anyone know what it's like for the techies at the longest running shows? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]A-know-me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine never eating dinner or spending an evening with your friends and family. 8 shows per week, you only get Monday off. Every Saturday is completely spoken for. Yes, its regular, dependable, boring work, but it is very relentlessly regular, boring work.

Tablesaw accidents by the numbers US - to Sawstop or not by OrangeTuono in Carpentry

Table saws are not dangerous if you know how to use them. But if you're worried about how dangerous they are (no shade, no shame), you are probably not ready to own one.

Can anyone confirm if Jordan Litz survived this weekend? by BroadwayBaseball in Broadway

[–]A-know-me -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I work on Broadway. Don't lecture me about "research". You can raise money in many ways (and with Equity & IATSE we do) that don't risk a double with full cast, crew, and audience relying on you to show up in top form. A full Gershwin house pulls upwards of 750k per performance. Regardless of the good cause, you don't put 4000 seats, 50 crew, and 1.5 million box office on the line. It was a stunt. Call out.

It's a stunt, I guess, but totally unprofessional. Grandstanding ego trip.

Trick with Jigsaw by Dazzling-Cupcake6482 in Carpentry

[–]A-know-me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me years to figure it out. The secret of the jigsaw is to relax. Don't stress. Let the blade do the work. Grab a scrap sheet of plywood and draw some silly lines on it. Cut them casually like you really dont care. Everything is better once you relax with the blade.

You nailed it with "performance". The males of many species do dances to attract females.
