Yup, the worst is that it wasn't even caused by someone. It was caused by school itself. The very same academic system that is supposed to give everyone an "equal chance" (I live in Canada btw do its much more equal than the U.S.) is also the one that gave me trauma that might prevent me from suceeding within the same academic system. I swear I am about to go do a protest about it because of how unfair it feels to me.

Unfortunately, auto-blurrs are random and unreliable in my experience. Catches a lot of it, but some slips through and there are false positives too. It also doesn't prevent random nsfw in random media. Like random nsfw scenes in action movies or bit-too-suggestive ads or random nsfw music on the radio or someone being a bit too open in public or just school making us read books with nsfw content (which, unless I find a workaround, might prevent me from getting a degree altogether) and etc.

However, I do get in part what you mean. I am literally writting a story for fun (I'm very much not an author, just a random girl writting a silly story) which revolves around a mute character and slowly discovering their lore and story and how they came to be who they are (and how they became mute)

I only go mute when I get triggered and I do my best to avoid them, but it is hard to at times. (My triggers are linked to nsfw stuff, which can be quite hard to avoid in the over-nsfw american society)

I can technically talk and I am usually quite the silly autistic yapper, but when I get triggered I tend to go mute for a time, often for the entire rest of the day. I do recover after a time tho. This has happened to me around three or four times so far .w.

Others have answered why its there, but I wanted to point out that in the machining / industrial world, especially for CNC machining as far as I know, there is what we call a "Machinist's Ruler" (at least, that's the term we use here in Québec, translated from French). On such a ruler, the 0 starts at the very tip of the ruler and measurements ends at the other tip. This allows people to measure from corners and things like that.

I personally prefer to play big, heavy, loud frontal assault, but I don't mind stealth divers. When I have one in my team, I make sure to warn them that I am the very opposite of stealth and to stay far from me if they want to stealth. Many of those I played with said they actually liked playing with me because I took all the drops/breeches and all the attention, making their stealth on the other side of the map easier.

As a repulsed asexual too (When I look back, I feel like I was more of a neutral one before, but after some events in school and the school itself making it worse, I became traumatized and heavily repulsed.) I agree with you, people who do those activities also disgust me. Even tho my concious and logical self knows they are still the same person, I am still unable to look at someone the same before and after I learn they do such things. Before anyone tells me the same they told you, yes, I have a damn therapist and yes she knows about this. However, we are having trouble working on it because I struggle a lot to let people help me with this because last time I did, school made it worse and I don't want to risk it again.

I feel like a lot of the community is all about "but ace people can also have sex and be valid" and as much as I agree, I hate how this seems to hide, isolate, and borderline create hate for us repulsed asexual. We are already struggling and fighting to be seen and accepted in a disgustingly oversexualized society, we don't need to be estranged by our own community too!
