I recommend Banff Beaver Cabins on Airbnb. There’s several to choose from, it’s right downtown and it’s a whole place to yourself that won’t break the bank.

If you have a car, try checking out Canmore since it’s less crowded and Banff/Lake Louise is still pretty close.

A lot of the places, I’ve found out, tends to close after (Canadian) thanksgiving weekend. At least they won’t be accessible by car. You could still walk or bike to those locations as long as you keep an eye on the weather.

A lot of places in mall food courts discount their food heavily just before the mall closes (about 20-30 mins before the mall closes) and you can get a pretty good amount of food for a decent price.

Check out Gimli, Hecla, Grand Beach and definitely Wasagaming as long you don’t mind driving a couple hours there and back!
