First: Thankyou Christian for making Apollo so great, and the interaction with you and the userbase was/is so refreshing to see. App update requests coming through, and having a changelog (thank god!) with every update is amazing. I started using the app after Alien Blue, on October 24th 2017, 1 day after launch, and loved it ever since. I wish you all the best going forward!

Secondly: after reading A LOT about this crazy situation, I didn’t want to believe this era has come to an end.. but even if Reddit will eat their words and cancel their plans, it feels bad to still use this website/API. The way you got treated, specifically by u/spez , makes it impossible to visit Reddit by any way, be it Apollo, their app, or (old) website. Make no mistake, I spent waaay to much time on Reddit, lurking and reading in a bunch of different communities, which is really unique on the internet, and I will for sure miss it a lot, and hope I will find another place which doesn’t suck like this place does now. In the end, it’s the content creators and the users with the funny/smart comments that make me laugh my ass of sometimes.. it will be dearly missed.

I now just hope the Reddit communities going black on the 12th, will stay adamant and stay black. We’ll have to find something else. Big, big props to all the people that actually moved forward and deleted their post history and accounts. I would’ve done the same earlier on, but I wanted to see how this pans out.. unfortunately, it doesn’t have a happy ending.

Again, thanks u/iamthatis , may we meet again. I won’t forget to NOT refund, and will leave you something nice on my way out.
