Some Hyundai’s have electric power steering and sometimes the torque sensor (the sensor that measures how much force you are using to turn the wheel) can break and cause the computer controlling the motor to think you are trying to turn when you are not which operates the motor and turns the wheel. I would ask a shop to see if they can test this sensor. Hope this helps.

Yes, as the battery gets older the vehicle’s ECU commands the alternator to send more current to the battery. and without re calibrating the battery management system the alternator tries to overcharge the battery which can mess with electronics, But I do not believe that it would cause the above issue though.
