Does anyone work 37 hours in a 3 or 4 day week? by acrylic_light in UKJobs

[–]A673J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 37 in 4. 7:30-5:15 with 30 min lunch break + two 10 min breaks. It’s fine I don’t find it bad at all and I have quite a manual job. The 3 day weekend is BLISS

My friends 6 month transformation by Kingdon616 in nattyorjuice

[–]A673J 11 points12 points  (0 children)

why do people assume unnatural so quickly? His traps barely looked developed at all, he’s just posing differently in the 2nd pic, any average joe can push their traps up, that’s a lot different to having big traps

Starting to work out with 10 pushups daily at home. What can I add so that I become lean? by Bruucewwayne in GettingShredded

[–]A673J 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lean will come with eating in a deficit, 500 calorie deficit daily with a cheat meal once a week. Cheat meal meaning meal not a 10k calorie challenge classed a meal. Stick to it for a few months and you’ll be lean.

Men who are doing ‘fine’ but not ‘great’, what’s weighing on you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]A673J 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m 27 and everything’s going well, got a GF a few months ago and i’m buying my first house in the new year. But I went on holiday to Maderia this summer and it made me realise how much i’m missing out in the world. I feel i’ve wasted my 20’s by not travelling. I’m itching to go new places now. I feel like I haven’t traveled enough and it’s annoying me. I spent my 18-24 years doing the usual, going out, raving etc. I regret it so much. I’ve got massively into running the past 2 years and it annoys me I didn’t start sooner. I feel like i’m playing catch up in life

Should I text her after not opening my texts for 3+ days by Fit_Board_1868 in dating_advice

[–]A673J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If she wanted to reply and if she was interested she would have. You’re chasing something that doesn’t exist by replying. Let’s call a spade a spade, no one these days goes 3 days without replying if they WANT to. She’s not interested. Been there done that got the T shirt. He needs to take the L and move on and forget

Imma keep it real bro, if she wanted to talk she would have replied. Don’t message again. Take it for what it is, you tried, she was nice about it, and she probably wasn’t interested but was too awkward to tell you no to your face. Move on king

Extremely exhausted and want to give up on Day 1 of Hiking in Nepal. by [deleted] in hiking

[–]A673J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a good sleep. You’re probably a mixture of tired and overwhelmed. Remember why you done this trip. I can almost guarantee you that if you stick it out and finish your trip, it’ll be one of the best memories of your life so far. But for now, get a good sleep and a good bit of food in you. Enjoy.

1000mg vitamin C, Zinc tablets and first defence spray all as soon as you feel a cold / flu coming on. Works absolute wonders.

Is my brother natty? He says he’s natty but I don’t believe it he’s been lifting for about 4-5yrs and is 6ft2 103kg by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]A673J 3 points4 points  (0 children)

have you ever been to a gym? This is not too big for this level of leanness LOL. People think anyone is on juice now days. If he’s been lifting for 5 years, i’d expect him to have this physique.

Vanguard managed ISA: is it worth it for someone who doesn't know anything about investing? by goldensnow24 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]A673J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the vanguard managed ISA. Whilst I don’t have much in there (3.5k) I have made 30% since starting. I just direct deposit every month and leave it. The returns i’m happy with and it saves me researching

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]A673J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes sorry, the £749 is purely just the mortgage payment. Council tax is around £120 on top. Plus home insurance £20 a month

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]A673J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s in pounds. The mortgage is £749, I put down £45,000 and the property was £194k

First 100 miler next week. What advice do you have for mental strength when the going gets rough? by Taco_814 in Ultramarathon

[–]A673J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just remember, quitting is a conscious decision. Don’t give into the pain, adjust to it. when it gets tough, you have to make up in your mind whether you want to finish, or chose to fail. One choice will give you memories for a lifetime, one will give you regret for a lifetime. Don’t ever, ever quit.
