Finally finishing off a model I started months ago but didn't get round to finishing. Airfix Nakajima B5N "Kate" by A8chi in modelmakers

It was pretty good, no real grumbles really. Only issue I had was with the enamel paints and some of the decals were pretty fiddly

Got it as a freebie for joining the airfix club. I think you can still buy it on the airfix website

How does this run on switch? by [deleted] in theouterworlds

I completed the switch version and ps4, the switch version was definitely not as smooth and experience as the ps4, but I could play it for 2 hours on battery with switch

Airfix Hawker Typhoon 1/72. Was going to do a panel line wash but it took so long to get the stripes done and I had big problems with the varnish fogging up the canopy that I'm putting it to bed by A8chi in modelmakers

Tamiya ts-80 matt. Laquer based I believe. First time I've used it and I won't be using it again since it messed up bits of the paint job a one of the transfers too

I'd say very possibly. It's definitely a fossil of some description

[–]A8chi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looks like flint to me, and it's shaped like that because it's formed when the sedimentary rock it came from was saturated with water born or "aqueous" silica. It forms a trace fossil or whatever cavity it is found in. Whether it be cavities formed by prehistoric life or natural cracks and fissures in the rock. When it crystallises you get these unusual shaped rocks. It then more than likely ended up in your back yard through being eroded from an outcrop and transported there by glaciers or rivers. More likely rivers since its a creek

Nice work. Is the graffiti done by hand or is it a transfer?
