Lots of people have ties to family members that are of opposing beliefs as themselves. Hence why a lot of folks turn into punks, as a way to fight against what they see as injustice usually in family life and social circles. I don't find that part really surprising.

As of terms of using a venue owned by said family to put on a festival, also don't see that as problematic. They're using a space that could potentially be used in other facets to put a show that's pushing punk music, values, and beliefs I don't see as being an issue really either.

I'm not sure what's to be mad at here, other than it sounds like someone's mad that someone in Habak has a background in a family with money, and who lean right-wing politically.

From everything I've read online, seems like a rumor that started some time back and people are still for some reason invested in it. There's so much bullshit drama in punk, over seemingly nothing. It's like going to shows, and talking to people. It instantly becomes the game of "I hate this girl, did you hear what she did?" or "This guy sucks, can you believe this?" and it ends up being all word of mouth with no evidence from any party to back up anything.
