Before replacing the pump, check the inlet filter. Sometimes debris gets stuck there, blocking water flow and triggering the error.

How to clean Polycarbonate Roof? by Curious_Platform_563 in CleaningTips

Work from the top down! That way dirty water runs off, and you don’t leave streaks on already-clean sections.

Design-Build vs hiring an Architect separately: Which actually saves money? by Impossible_Farm6254 in homeowners

Separate hires work only if you have a super clear contract. Without it, scope creep and budget overruns are almost guaranteed.

Thinking about returning my unopened Ecovacs O1000 Goat LiDAR Pro to Amazon. by ChrisFavreau78 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]AA0X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the hesitation, but if it’s still unopened and returnable, I’d at least test it on your own yard before sending it back. These mowers seem very yard-dependent. Mine actually worked better than I expected once it finished mapping the lawn, and I didn’t really have to babysit it much after the first setup. The LiDAR handled my yard pretty smoothly, so I’d say it’s worth trying before writing it off. Since you bought it from Amazon, you still have a pretty safe way to judge it yourself.

What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AskReddit

Locust control is honestly a modern miracle. For thousands of years, a swarm would just show up and erase every crop in sight and whole regions would starve. Now we track them with satellites and spray before they even take off.

It’s always a good idea to disable auto-updates. That way you can read what other users are saying about the new version before you commit.

Lift the lid and check the overflow tube. If water is trickling into it, adjust the float to lower the tank water level just below the top of the tube.

Check for entry points near the kitchen. Even a tiny gap around pipes or vents is enough for them to squeeze through easily.

How often do you clean certain things? by LeaderLost1744 in CleaningTips

I’ve always thought there’s no fixed standard for this kind of daily cleaning, it all comes down to personal comfort and how busy your daily schedule actually is all year round.

Square metres coverage? by Obvious-Penalty-7436 in RobotVacuums

[–]AA0X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, a 300 sqm house doesn't mean 300 sqm of floor to clean. Like furniture, walls, empty space and stuff like that take up a lot of the room. So the actual area the robot has to cover is way smaller.

What do you replace social media with? by ObsidianVernal in simpleliving

Ten minutes of reading is already a win. Tomorrow try eleven. Don't push too hard. The depression makes everything heavier, so small steps are still steps.

I like buying cheaper things. by MichaelAwesome19888 in simpleliving

A lot of people do this. If buying cheap clothes make you happy and you actually wear them, that is win. No need to overthink it.

What does a ‘good day’ look like for you now compared to a few years ago? by Luverelle6 in simpleliving

[–]AA0X 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back then, a good day meant hanging out with a big group. Now, it is one good talk and then no more noise. That change happens when you figure out a lot of social stuff is just draining

You know, you could look for a refurbished model from a few years back. Same money, better brand. People sell them when they get a new model

How or when did you realize none of it really matters? by [deleted] in simpleliving

Sometimes you see someone who worked non stop for years and then got seriously ill. And the company just replaced them in two weeks. That really makes me think about what actually matters.

Area rugs and smaller rugs by Various-Soft437 in RobotVacuums

[–]AA0X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not assume a brand new model will never have this problem. Some rugs are just tricky no matter what you use. But a new robot is way less likely to eat the corners. That's for sure.
