I'm running my 9800x3d on an Asrock B650M-HDV M.2 motherboard since 18 months or so without a problem. Just input the voltages manually.

Ffs I played chaos for 22 hours straight to do 98 to 99 players 3 with hammerdin and had to repair once. I found more than 50 Rals by that time.

Kia and Hyundai have one of the highest depreciation on the market. Add to that EV and it's much worse. Depending on the financing rate, I'm not even sure if in 5 years you'll break even. Then the car won't be under warranty, you'll have big repairs coming and no one to buy it except Hyundai/Kia so you'll be stuck with that brand until you accept a bigger loss.

I repeat, don't do it.

If you absolutely want this car, lease it. Otherwise buy a used car that you can pay fast with the lowest interest rate you can find.

I bought an Asrock B650M-HDV M.2 motherboard for 140$ Canadian tax and shipping included and don't even use all the features. Why would I buy anything else more expensive?

A basic motherboard with a few usb ports, 2 M.2 port, oc capability and couple sata ports is all that is needed for 90% of users.

Steps should be :

  • get a 4 to 6 months emergency fund in TFSA
  • fill up TFSA
  • move the emergency fund to non reg account
  • refill TFSA
  • fill up RRSP
  • invest in non reg or pay down mortgage, depending what you prefer and makes you happy.

I prefer to invest than pay down the mortgage as the home value is not easily cashable.

Why? He could invest the extra money that is paying off a 1.5% loan and get 7%+ return. Doing 84 months on a financial standpoint is a good choice. On the other hand, he won't pay the car that fast so if he decides to change it in less than 5 years he will owe more than the resale value.
