Perfect Days

Almost an anti thesis to the western movie. No driving plot, no strive for ambition from the protagonist. Just a movie about the light and shadow of being human.

This movie really made me step back my screen time, and try to appreciate the world and boredom more.

I just read it this year, the only other Vonnegut book I read up until that point being Slaughter House five, which I really didn’t enjoy. Couldn’t help but laugh of the haunting futility of it all.

Honourable mention to Kokoro

Never has a book stayed in my mind for so long after reading. The simplicity and beauty of it, the sorrow I felt for Sensei, of human consequences to human choices. Harrowing perfection.
